This light is a bit on the gimmacky side--however I really like it. It is not real loud and has an ok sound, but it is cool to have in the fixture above the table at dinner. The kids and I take turns playing our favorite tunes and talking about the music and why we like or don't like it. I wish it were a little less tinny--but will buy it again when it fails to work. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a speaker with ok sound.

Pretty much what I expected. Sound is good enough for what I got it for, but is pretty muddy.
This was pretty much like I expected. Light from it looks good. It is a little warmer color (more yellow) than most bulbs, but I like that. The sound quality is what I expected for a "lightbulb speaker" meaning it is okay, kind of muddy. I was excited to use this as a speaker right next door to the outside of my office door, so as people are coming to my building they hear a bit of music before they come inside. I've used it for the last 24 hours and it has worked well. I just have one of my computers connected to the bluetooth light bulb playing music softly from Spotify.I am a little concerned because it says "Do not expose this appsratus (sic) to rain or moisture" and I installed it in a light fixture that is in outdoors, but under a covered porch. So I am not sure moist is too moist. (By the way, I saw someone else say they installed this over their shower...that is probably not a good idea.)PRICE: It is about the same price as a bluetooth speaker I got ($24) but I like that I don't have to recharge or change batteries on this, but of course, this isn't as portable. I looked at prices of other lightbulb speakers and found a few a little cheaper, and lot of them were more money. So this is on the cheaper end of the mid price, which is probably about right for the quality of sound it gets.Pros:-Easy to install-Easy to connect to via anything with bluetooth-Easy to add a speaker to a hard to reach spotCons:-Sound quality is muddy-Didn't come with much instructions (not a con for me, but some people who might not know how to use it.)I was sent a free sample to evaluate this item and leave a review. I'll say I like it enough that I will probably get another one so I can have a speaker on my back porch to play music through.

PERFECTLY EXECUTED - You will be impressed.
I love the idea of this thing but was skeptical that it may not live up to my standards. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of sound coming from such a tiny housing - which also doubles as a standard E27 mogul base light bulb. The first thing I noticed when it arrived is the size. While the screw-in mogul is standard size, the main housing on this is slightly larger in diameter than your typical A-Style lamp (lightbulb) and is noticeably taller as well. These are only aesthetic differences really as I had no problem using this in a small desk lamp. You wouldn't want to install this in a fixture with an enclosed shade, but since it's also a speaker this seems to be an obvious observation.Upon powering up the light bulb there is a slight 'pop' sound from the built-in speaker, but I personally didn't find this to be annoying or bothersome. Once turned on there is no delay in the LED from emitting light, which is rated at 90 lumens - approximately the light output of an 60W incandescent lamp. Color temperature is a "warm white", comparable to other 2700K LED lights that I have installed around the house. The speaker is automatically in pairing mode and showed up immediately in the list of bluetooth devices available on my phone. Once paired, the speaker emits a step-down tone to let you know that you're connected. The process took only a few seconds from start to finish. Now the real test... how does this thing sound? I prefer my music bass heavy and expected this thing to distort badly, but I was surprised when my music came out with clear highs and lows that were identifiable. There definitely isn't a lot of bass that comes out of the speaker, but being that it's sharing it's housing with an LED light, I wasn't expecting a lot. Even at max volume levels the sound quality doesn't degrade and can easily be heard indoors within the 40' range of the bluetooth connection.Overall this type of product is perfect in a bedroom installed in a reading/desk lamp or in an office environment to play personal music at your desk or background music in a waiting room/lobby. I currently have mine installed in my daughters bedroom so she can play music from her iPad. With a price tag of $29 it's comparable to other bluetooth speakers I've purchased on Amazon and while it's not portable, or water proof, it doesn't need to be - it also doesn't ever get misplaced. ;)FULL DISCLOSURE: I received this light bulb as a free sample for evaluation and an unbiased review.
