PupPal Pet Cooling Vest (Blue) - Large

Works as advertised. Keeps my Frenchie and my Pug cool on hot days. Put it on my 11 year-old Pug who was panting and tired. She immediately stopped panting and began running around, fiesty and energetic, which she usually only manages on cooler days. One word of caution, but in no way a negative against this product: My Frenchie thought this vest was his life jacket while wearing it outside. He jumped right in the water trying to float as he does with his life vest and sank. Of course this product is not a floatation device and is not advertised to be. Just a side note to those of you whose pups are accustomed to the float vests to keep in mind. However, the PupPal cooling vest is terrific. Keeps my two pups cool for several hours. We use it on our Frenchie when we take him for walks on hot days. Our Pug just enjoys it for around the house to stay cool. Additionally, good seller. Quick response time.

I got two of these, one for each dog. The large fit a bit loosely on my schnauzer, but she seems to tolerate it because it gives her such relief. The medium was a bit tight on my shih tzu mix, but he would've swum in a large. They work really well during this past heat wave, especially for the schnauzer who can't tolerate the heat. Even though it was sizzling hot, the vests remained wet for most of the day. You might want to bring a spray bottle to refresh it if it's a really hot day. I recommended these to my dog group, and several went out and purchased the vests that day.

I have an 8 month old pug and Large is a bit too big for her and hangs down several inches (she wears a halter with a girth of 19' - 26' so the size should have been okay unless I screwed up). I'm hoping she will grow into it. It does cool her down very, very quickly (she actually stops panting) and she did not mind having it on even with it hanging. Definitely buy this for dogs with heat issues! The 4 stars are only for the sizing because this vest works.

Way too big for my dog ( I knew it would be a bit when purchased, but had already planned to custom fit it to my dog) but doesn't seem to help keep her cool in our agility classes. I think a towel of the same material draped over her works the same as this one shaped like a vest. I did like that I didn't have to put it over her head to get it on like other models, but overall it doesn't seem to do much.

This definitely stays cold for a while! It would be great to have more coverage on the belly in future versions. My Catahoula/Cattle mix weighs about 50 pounds and the XL is right for him, so my friends with actual "big" dogs have been disappointed to hear that they are out of luck, for now...I will definitely keep an eye out for a new and improved version for my boy, as well as friends' panting buddies.

They work good for short trips outside. I have 2 girls that run with me and we are outside for about 1 hr. If it's really sunny they evaporate pretty quickly. I wish the Xlarge was a little longer on the top. It's a little short on the top of the back for my dober girl, I still like them they help keep my girls from getting overheated.

I like the product and it works with my pug but one thing I would change/add is an extra strip of velcro to it so the stripe is thicker giving you the chance it more snug if it doesn't fit your dog properly. Also these run small so if you're not sure about the size I'd advise going a size larger.

This cooling vest is great! Our black lab/shar pei gets hot too easy and this vest helped him stay cool and comfortable. I ordered an XL for my 80lb pooch and it was a little tight, but still fit. I definitely recommend this if you want to keep your pooch cool, but don't want to pay for the name brand vest.
