just a quick review, I just bought this kit
Just a few quick facts because this one doesn't have a lot of reviews yet. It's a genuine Donegan OptiVisor. It comes with 4 acrylic lenses (plastic) which are lighter but scratch easier than glass. One lens is already attached to the unit, and the effect is good. Hands-free magnification. Working under a light, this is great stuff. I'll eventually make my own custom LED headband mod for it.My first time using an OptiVisor... When you first put it on, keep in mind the focal point is probably ~14" away. So everything will be blurry if it's not at the right focal point. That's why you can flip it up and down. Once I looked at something closely, it was large, clear, and focused. And you can combine it with a hand-held or other magnifier too. There is no case/box for the lenses. There is no lens cleaning microfiber cloth. The cardboard box can be used to store everything but it's not my favorite solution. I am going to use a hard case and cut foam to custom fit the unit. It uses the screw type to mount the lenses, not the push in type. I saw this as a good thing, but I may replace with nylon wing-nuts and rubber washers, who knows. I haven't tried the other lenses yet.It has the newer style leather headband cover, so you can get replacements for it if needed. (the older kind, people can't get replacements for)That's about it. It's on sale, I got it for just over $50. With 4 lenses, acrylic or not, that is a good deal as far as these things go. It's designed to last and last.

The optical quality is very good. Has nice adjustability to fit all head sizes
The optical quality is very good. Has nice adjustability to fit all head sizes. I use it mostly for soldering small parts on PCB's. The set is nice because it allows you to change the focal length with options of 6", 8", 10" or 14". The greater the distance the smaller the magnification but it's great to have the option for times when you need to not be on top of the item you're working with. The only improvement I would suggest is to make the headband more comfortable by adding a fabric liner. Note: these are the acrylic lenses not glass so are more likely to scratch but I haven't had any issues with that.

Fit over glasses!
I wear glasses but struggle with seeing tiny details. I get terrible headache) get frustrated not being able to quite see what I'm doing: this is for both preparing murine tissues for histology ( Swiss rolls anyone) and making Dollhouse miniatures in both 1:12 and 1:48 scale. I found a set of these in our necropsy suite at work and they changed my life. So much that I purchased a set for home ( miniature making). Absolutely worth the cost.

Really Good!!
This thing works great. I do have concern about wear on the plastic adjustment screws. This is a very good quality visor.

Best Hands-Free Close-up Work Magnification
Excellent for magnifying close-up work and for reading printed materials with very small print. Combined with Glocusent neck reading light, a wonderful hands-free system.

Good deal for a 4 lens package.
I got tired of trying to use a hand held magnifying glass for various things and this package has 4 lenses for a reasonable price. The box has a convenient holder to keep them in. The headband expands quickly and fits my big head. It's not too hard to change lenses unless you get an optional aftermarket light like I did. While the light is a great option, it has to use much larger pins to hold both it and the lens to the visor, so now it's not so easy to change lenses anymore. But if you don't want the light it's a great setup and well worth the money. I'd like to find some pins with a head I can grasp to pull them out easier.

I feel that they should provide a better plastic screw to attach it
The lenses keep falling off, I feel that they should provide a better plastic screw to attach it. The lens are otherwise very good.
