Beautiful
This conch shell was purchased as a gift. It is beautiful and sounds wonderful. We had to look up a video on YouTube for instructions on how to use it. The video was a great help. It sounds amazing and was happily received.

Therapeutic power of shankh
As an American ethnomusicologist deeply interested in Indian music and culture, I was not familiar with the power of a conch shell until a relative demonstrated the blowing technique used by warriors in the Mahabharata war. It then occurred to me that I might be able to heal my sunken right cheek naturally just by blowing it over time. I searched "conch shell" online and discovered the conch shell was available through Amazon along with so much information about it including its religious significance, a physical description of the gastropod shell, therapeutic benefits, pursed/puckered lip breathing, cleaning technique, etc. Wow! I ordered the beautiful 7" smooth, white conch shell a couple weeks ago and have been practicing it daily ever since. While it may have a sweet sound when blown correctly and may purify the atmosphere, my main purpose in blowing it is therapeutic--to strengthen my lungs and heart which can in turn heal any number of bodily symptoms. I have been doing yogic breathing for around 17 years, but still blowing this instrument takes practice to get the technique and placement of the lips just right. It is well worth the time and effort and doesn't require any musical ability. I am so delighted with this powerful addition to my yoga and transcendental meditation. One star because it smells so bad
The media could not be loaded. Its tricky to blow, it took me 5 min of trying before I got it. It will take practice to be able to do it consistently. I included a video so that you can hear the sound. I have the 5 inch shell.The real problem is that it STINKS of DISGUSTING perfume. I have washed it thoroughly at least 10 times. I am now leaving it out in the sun in the hopes that the overwhelming stink of dollar store artificial gardenia/jasmine/rose candle dissipates.I hate putting in near my nose, which defeats the purpose. If the putrid stench ever goes away I will change my star rating.

Nice quality and sound
The conch I received was same as what I ordered and it looked + sounded nice. The size was also as expected. I would recommend this seller to anyone who wants to have a blowing shakh and some other related items for personal use.

davvero bella
la conchiglia e' molto bella e corrisponde alla descrizione ! suona una meraviglia !! arrivata ben imballata anche se con qualche giorno di ritardo ma non imputabile al venditore in quanto seguendo la spedizione si evince che l'invio sia stato rapido !l'unica pecca e' stata che pensavo le spese di spedizione comprendessero anche lo sdoganamento quindi mi sono ritrovato a dover pagare un ulteriore balzello ,nulla di che, 4 euro, ma inaspettati !!
