Xotic Effects RC Booster Version 2

I've bought and tried probably 20-25 similar low/med gain OD pedals over the last two years.This one is still on my pedal board.Very transparent, lower the guitar volume and it sounds just like not using the pedal at all. Full guitar volume, and it kicks in. You get as much crunch, overdrive, and/or boost as you have it set for. Not super compressed... squashed out sounding. Still retains picking dynamics.Separate Treble and Bass controls work excellent.Volume and Gain controls.Has a switched second Boost/OD channel with gain control that stacks on top for higher gain, more compressed tones.A solid performance for those looking for a LOW GAIN, LOW DISTORTION, overdrive pedal.Metal and shredders need not apply.... Xotic Effects has other boxes for those guys.

Este pedal desde que lo ví me encantó la estética al ser un pedal cromado muy bonito, este es un pedal Booster, bastante versátil por sus controles, que sin ser un Overdrive, con una configuración puede funcionar como tal, pero la verdad la parte importante de este pedal es ese BOOST, que incrementa la salida de tu guitarra ideal para esas partes de solos, pudiendo incrementar notablemente la salida sin alterar el tono o la saturación y teniendo incluso dos niveles de boost (osea es como cuando en el radio oyes una canción y dices "ahí viene el solo súbele!"), Sin duda un pedal que entra en la categoría de boutique, estéticamente muy bonito, excelentemente construido pero eso sí un precio por arriba de los pedales de estas categorías sin embargo creo una buena inversión para mejorar tu sonido así como tú mismo pedal board

So clean. Love it. Sounds great with my Gretsch. Does not colour the amp, it just pushes for a clean overdriven sound unlike a distortion pedal. (Love my OCD. Right tool for the job.) Running with gain down and volume about half way it is very clean and functions like a hump filter. Safely set up on my pedal board and connected through my isolated supply. Glad they didn't spend money on the single power supply. The power supply was not my first concern.

What a great pedal. Right amount of boost which doesn’t colour your sound. Game changer for me with the sound I can now get

Xotic RC booster in my opinion is the pinnacle of clean boost. The options of having bass, treble and gain may this extremely versatile. I have both v1 and v2. When I comes to the gain stage of the V2 I do not find it helpful as it significantly increases the volume and I don't find the added gain effect to be pleasing. Since the V1 is no longer available, this in the only option. If you can find a V1 at a steal I would say you are not missing out on anything by getting that instead. Wish Xotic would make a V1 in a mini pedal.
