TRF -v- TRRF (Which one works with IOS?)
I'm not an electrician, into electronics or a sound engineer, the only thing I know about electrical stuff is if you get it wrong it'll blow your fillings out!The scores had to be low to make the point, although I’m sure it works well when used for the correct port.I had intended t use a mini external mic on my Snoppa Atom Gimbal with my iPhone. This is a mini *TRF* mic and the description would be helpful if it was made clear that iPhones and certain Gimbals need a *TRRF* mic.The two types of mics look very much the same but you will save a lot of bashing head on the table time trying to work out why it won't work by making sure your get the right mic.To be clear iPhones need a *TRRF* mic not a *TRF* mic.The correct one for an iPhone and Snoppa Gimble appears to be by the same company with the below description:Saramonic SmartMic Mini Flexible Condenser Microphone with High Sensitivity Compatible with Apple IOS Devices, i.e. iPhone X 8 7 Plus 6 Plus, iPad, iPodWith the link (if links are allowed):https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GR5B3YW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Not fit for purpose
Sounds like it's recorded in a biscuit tin full of dried peas.
