Absolutely perfect, and plays in my 20-year old car's CD player!
I've been wanting to put the entire 2-disc set of Pink Floyd's The Wall onto one CD ever since I dropped the second disc under my car seat while swapping them out, completely scratching it. Unfortunately, the whole album is just over 81 minutes long, which means I'd have to cut one song, and that would be blasphemy. I never even thought to check if high-capacity CDs even existed, and now I can finally fit it all!First of all, you need to make sure that your PC's disc recorder, as well as the software you plan to use both support "overburn". Depending on what program you use, you might need to go into the settings and manually turn on the option. I used Nero's Burning ROM software, and had to do that after seeing the notification that there wasn't enough room on the disc for my project. Everything was fixed when I turned it on.When I did a simulated burn (a nice feature of Nero's software) to check for possible errors, it said that it was an "illegal" disc. As these are from Verbatim, and not some random cheap company that no one's ever heard of, I believe that's also normal. When I actually burned the disc, that error didn't show up in the final checklist. As always, use the slowest speed your software allows when burning CDs to prevent skipping (no higher than 16x, but try for even lower if you can). Also, your computer will most likely only recognize the disc as the standard 700mb, instead of the accurate 800mb, so don't worry if you see the wrong number show up. However, if you're using these to just store data, I have no idea if you'll be able to access all 800mb, and I don't want to waste one of my discs to test that.My car is a 2002 Saturn, and I was worried that it wouldn't play the disc. After all, the CD player itself could very well have been made in the 90s (wow....that really made me feel my age to say that). However, I was very happy to see that it worked perfectly fine, and it also plays in every player in my house, including my Playstations.I've never had trouble with any Verbatim recordable media. I'd say you should definitely get these! They're fairly inexpensive, and each disc comes in standard-sized CD cases, instead of those cheap, flimsy thin ones.
