Mine arrived very stiff, after trying my own tricks and applying few different types of lubricant I emailed PROTO themselves asking what I can do to fix this. They are sending me a replacement for free. These are still quality tool’s just everything can’t be 100% all the time, there will be defects but they make it right. Since Stanley owns a lot I believe these are basically Mac tools
