I got this to replace a bad starter on my Cub Cadet Z- Force 48. It has 9 teeth instead of 10. I called a reputable parts company and they said the original tooth starter was replaced with the 9 tooth due to longevity problems with the original 10 tooth starter. A friend installed it for me and it works great! My Cub starts like brand new! I have used it only for a couple of months but so far, so good. I can't attest to how long it will last, but so far I would recommend it.

My Husqvarna Tractor with the Kohler 7000 Series KT740 engine suddenly wouldn't start. The starter would turn but not engage. Turns out the 5 year old original starter's shaft snapped off. This starter didn't list fitting my engine. Searches told me I needed another more expensive one with a longer delivery time. Once I took the old one off, I saw it had this part number so I ordered it. Fit perfectly, cost $20 less and I got it in 2 days. Mower was back in business. They should update the application notes.

Direct fit replacement on a Cub Cadet XT1 with a Kohler KT725. OEM part that it replaced was 32-098-08. So far no issues, no idea if it'll last or not, but the price was reasonable compared to OEM.

Gave this one a five because it fit and does what a starter is supposed to do. It started my tractor. Plus I got it pretty quick.My tractor, a Craftsman 917289470 lawn tractor, is hard on starters. The original equipment starter lasted many years, I don't recall how many but it was quite a few. When it died I replaced it with one I got off Amazon. It lasted maybe four years. The next one, the same supplier, also off Amazon, lasted two years. This one from DB looks to be a little different. At least the pinion gear appears to be cut better. The problem with all these starters is the starter shaft would bend and/or break. None seem to be strong enough to handle this 26 horse engine. Only time will tell if this DB is really any better.

This is the third generation starter design and worked perfectly on a 2019 Cub Cadet 1045. Not the cheapest one on Amazon but also not crazy expensive.

Very nice starter

Starter installs and operates identical to OEM starter.Original starter locked up and broke pinion shaft at motor housing. Replaced with inexpensive Chinese starter that had a momentary pause before turning engine. Starter appeared too weak for a Kohler 745 engine. Returned starter immediately for refund.This starter performs exactly like OEM starter at a substantially lower price. Recommend you not buy the cheaper starters and pay a little more for a quality product.

Perfect replacement starter, much better then the original.Lots of cranking power even on cold days.
