Environmental Technology 32008 Molding and Casting Material, 8 oz

Worked well & set up in about 15 minutes (I left it in mold longer, just to be sure). Only minor complaint is that set resin had a slightly rough texture in details of finished cast (possible due to micro-bubbles in the resin from mixing). Finished casting was easy to sand & drill. I used a polymer clay mold (baked hard) & used thin coat of petroleum jelly as a mold release.

Want to do this right the first time, so i will need to do the research on this new hobby.

I like fast cast resin when I want to finish a project now. I also like the fact that it is flexible to glue on glass jars. I am still learning but so far I am impressed.

I liked the product for the quickness of curing but in the same aspect it cures to fast for some applications not good for the first timer ( you have to move pretty fast).

This product certainly lives up to it's name and expectation, so easy to use and very "Fast Casting"! The details of the finished product is absolutely beautiful. It was used with Prima Molds what a beautiful match. It provides a much finer detail with a more finished look than the air dry clay which I have used many times. I will be purchasing this product again! Great Product!

FastCast is not their name for nothing. I often make prototypes for new pieces I am creating and use a long drawn out method but decided to give this resin a try and it cuts down my time in more than half and gives great results. I ended up buying 3 sets of this resin.

1. It does not cure in 10 minutes (more like an hour) 2. It does not cure white, more like see-through melted butter 3. It is rough with many tiny air bubbles.Even Alumilite's 10 minutes is better. At least that one cures white and smooth, even if not in 10 minutes as advertised.

Perfect item and just what I ordered at a great price too!
