It works fine.
I have been using the Grumbacher matte finishing spray I don't seem to find it anywhere right now. So I tried Winsor & Newton (a very old firm) and although when I sprayed it the smell wasn't nice it went away and the end result was quite satisfactory.

Better than Testor’s Dullcote!!
I have used Testor’s Dullcote on my miniatures for many years, but lately I can’t find it. Someone recommended this to me and I will only use it from now on! It is a truly matte varnish spray.
