Worked like a charm!
I was at my wits end with my catback exhaust coming loose from my header pipes after every other drive in my Charger R/T, so I started looking around at different style clamps to use and from what I read this style clamp is what might help. It did exactly that. I've had the two clamps on for over three weeks now with zero issues of the catback coming loose. Whew glad that's over with! In my opinion these should have been the style clamps that came with the catback from the manufacture. The single band clamp style that they provided just didn't have enough clamping power to secure the exhaust to the header pipes. These are well, well worth the money. Just another note to add... The clamps will come with a small square tar like sealant on the inside of the clamp. Just use the clear plastic cover on it and smear it across the clamp before installing and it'll just add to the clamps sealing ability. It doesn't mention this at all in the descriptions so I figured I'd add that so anyone wondering what that tar-like stuff is on the clamp knows its supposed to be there.

Stainless steel - no rust for your exhaust!
This is a 2.5" exhaust **lap-joint** stainless-steel clamp. Lap-joint implies the material overlaps, versus butt-joint, where the materials butt against each other. This means one end accommodates the overlapping exhaust pipe and the smaller end clamps more securely on the slip-fitted pipe. You get a lap-joint clamp when you have a slip-fit exhaust where one pipe slips inside the other. I was building a 2.5" exhaust and did not want to weld-in cats and not be able to easily dismantle the exhaust without a lift (it's just me in the garage and a floor jack). This lap-joint clamp works great and Amazon had the cheapest price anywhere, plus free shipping for Prime members. You don't want to get the cheapie horseshoe/u-bolt type clamps as they make indentions in the pipe (making it out of round) and are prone to leaking and sometimes make it almost impossible to "un-slip" the exhaust pipes. These clamps hold the exhaust securely and with a 360deg grip so you don't indent the pipe.

READ BELOW....Brand name is misleading!
I thought I was getting a Dyno max clamp, and a Walker mega clamp box showed up with no sealant. It even is stamped Walker on the clamp, and without a Dyno max part number. Exchanged the order and today I received the same thing. I had not read far enough down in the reviews that Dyno max is owned by Walker, which is a subsidiary of Tennaco. The fit and finish is great, I just mistakenly thought I was getting a bogus part from the Amazon bin. It should be labeled as a Walker clamp IMO.

Dynomax 33226 Stainless Steel Hardware Clamp
The bands look okay installed but lack sufficient clamping ability to prevent the exhaust pipe from moving inside the muffler. The band design does not allow it to clamp properly if there is any angle to the exhaust pipes entering into the muffler. I ultimately ended up using the U-bolt muffler clamp to secure the rear exhaust pipe inside the outlet of the muffler. My recommendation would be to save your money and just go with the standard U-bolt muffler clamp.

Excellent exhaust clamps.
Just to let everyone know, these are lap joint clamps. They clamp a pipe joint that fit inside the other. I ordered these when I must have been brain dead by mistake. I really needed butt joint clamps. All worked out in the end. They are some killer clamps. I used these 8 years ago. The bolts were totally rusted but the clamps never leaked. I used an angle grinder with a cut off wheel to get it off.

The install was super easy and it works perfectly
I already had a clamp installed and covering up a hole but the clamp itself was leaking because I was using the wrong style. I had a butt joint clamp and it had to be stretched to fit.I bought this in hopes it would fit AND seal properly. The install was super easy and it works perfectly. I had to shim the smaller side with a soda can tin.Great quality. I would recommend.

Great for clamping exhaust tips!
The clamp works great for lap joints providing a tight and secure fit for a 2.5" Dynomax exhaust tip inlet on my '17 Nissan Rogue. Also used JB weld putty to fill in any gaps due to the downward angle of the oem exhaust.

and they sealed perfectly without having to torque them like crazy.
Exactly as described. I bought 2 of these clamps to seal lap joints on a 2.5" exhaust, and they sealed perfectly without having to torque them like crazy.

Waste of money. Don't buy
Used these for my exhaust and they are garbage. U can tighten them down until the bolt maxes out in the treads and the pipe still spins. Very disappointed in dynaomax products and services. I purchased the exhaust system from them as well, and it took 3 months for dynomax to get me the exhaust system. Now I can't return the clamps because the return window has closed. Won't be purchasing anymore dynomax products because of the poor quality.
