AIDIS MY049 Military Watch Waterproof Tactical Wristwatch Quartz Rubber Strap

Looked like a nice watch for a decent price. Originally purchased this watch because my good watch was broken and I needed a watch for work. Found this watch, liked the look of it, so I bought it. First off I noted that it says in the item heading "Waterproof Tactical Wristwatch", but down in the description it says it's water-resistant to 50 meters...good enough for swimming/showering, but not diving...which begs the question about the "waterproof" claim in the listing. Not a problem for me...I have a dive watch, and wasn't planning to use this for that.Once I received the watch, as I examined it for any damage or defects, I noted that the face/rotating bezel appeared to be loose, and rattled when I tapped the edge...wasn't very well constructed. Also, the crystal has a sharp edge at the 11 o'clock position, but is smooth pretty much around the rest of the crystal, which seems to be a manufacturing defect. Also, the "luminous" hands/numbers aren't very good...had to strain my eyes to see them in darkness. Seems like only the 9-12 are luminous as well as the hands. Can't really see the rest of the numbers in darkness.Probably the biggest issue for me was the battery. When I received this watch, the battery was dead. There was an extra battery in the box, which was fine, but I still had to take the watch to a jeweler and pay him $5 to install the new battery so I could use the thing. Not a good start with a new watch I was expecting to just take out of the box, set the correct time and date, and put it on.All in all it's an OK watch, but feels and appears cheaply made when you look at it and hold it in your hand. At only $42 bucks, I guess you get what you pay for, but I've paid less for a Timex and haven't had nearly as many issues as this watch has. Made in China...go figure. All the accompanying documentation was in Chinese characters, except for a piece of folded paper that was the operating instructions. I could tell when I read this that it was written by someone without a very good command of the written English language. The wording, sentence structure, and grammar was all messed up. I feel like I'm nitpicking now, but it just bugged me.All in all, I was very disappointed in this purchase, and returned it the next day. I'd recommend spending a little extra money and get a G-Shock, a Timex, or something along those lines when looking for an inexpensive but decent watch.

Very Cheaply made.This watch broke before I could wear it. I was able to repair it but it has been sitting on my desk since then. You are getting what you pay for.
