Good features on a reasonable camera, but completely let down by terrible mobile app and lack of support
Nice camera with some good features. I like the alarm and strobe light as well as the 2-way sound. The ability to add additional cameras and record to the cloud or your own storage is also a plus. Unfortunately though there are some bad points. The night vision isn't great and you don't get half the said 30m night visibility. The motion detection seems to work on light change, so expect to get a lot of false alarms with car lights and changing clouds. These however, are minor issues compared to the EZVIZ software and mobile app. EZVIZ is completely let down by the software and the lack of any support. The mobile app is so full of bugs its almost unusable and setup can also be quite frustrating. This could all be overlooked if the support was good and the issues were resolved, but unfortunately it isn't. Responses come days later and are generally unhelpful. They are yet to resolve any of my issues. Overall this setup has potential to be great and I had high hopes, but be prepared to be dissappointed!

Good camera but cable is a horrible design flaw
This is generally a good camera with nice features. The app is rubbish but does the basics. However the camera is most let down by the terrible design of the cable. It comes with a normal power cable but it branches and has a PoE connector. It’s this connector (which most people won’t ever use) that is the problem. It’s huge! Which means if you’re passing the cable through a wall of any sort, you have to create a huge hole just to stick this cable through - even though you’re not using it. I think EZVIZ should ditch this or just sell two versions of the camera. That would make it a 5 star product.

Excellent build and picture quality.
Good quality camera. Excellent construction. Very reliable, not had to reboot it since I set it up several weeks ago which makes a great change from the cheap eBay camera I had before. The movement alert triggers too easily, even on its lowest setting but it does capture movement so better that than it missing something.Cloud Storage is expensive so I bought a Sandisk 64gb memory card and am using that instead. It didn’t work with a cheap card so do get the genuine approved ones from Amazon. The app, on an iPhone X takes 7 or 8 seconds to fire up which can be an issue if you need to quickly see if someone is at the door, and whilst it runs perfectly and will show the camera output for as long as you need, dip in and out a few times (in response to alerts) and the app becomes unstable and needs restarting.Whilst it is wireless, of course it still needs power. Given it will run power over Ethernet, in some ways that’s as easy as running the power cable. The plug is big too so I fitted a waterproof plastic box to make / hide the connections in.Picture is clear (1080p) and works perfectly in low light, though you get a movement alert when switches in and out of IR mode which is a bit silly.I’ve set the alert schedule to avoid it waking me up.All in all, very happy with this camera.

Good camera, great app
Well made, easy to set-up and image quality is good. I say good because the only other cameras I have to compare with are Ezviz and Samsung. I suspect there is more compression in the Ezviz video and stills which adds a bit more noticable jaggy edges. The Samsung image quality in day light seems better, but worse at night. The camera in your hand looks pretty big, but on the side of building it's not that obtrusive. All the Ezviz cameras I have (six and growing) all work really well with the app which connects quickly and over the last year or two has worked reliably. I hope Ezviz's servers maintain this level of performance via the app as they continue to increase their customer base.I think from my experience Ezviz seems to be a quality product and they have made the effort and investment in the software/app side of things. The camera can be set to flash bright built-in leds when it detects movement or records just to make unwelcome visitors aware that the camera knows they are there. It can also beep; and this is pretty loud and best set when you are away from home as it can be annoying for regular visitors, but perhaps an extra deterrent for unwanted ones. Our home is pretty remote and can't bother neighbours but I can understand how it could become an issue. There seems to be two volume levels, even the lower one could upset light sleepers next door. A lower level of -3 or -6db would be much better to be left on all the time.Night vision is excellent and so is the areas you can define in the field of view to trigger recording - this is pretty granular showing the developers are making a real effort. The app is responsive and the usability is pretty good.WiFi connectivity seems good, again the caveat is, it seems no worse than many other smart devices we have. Does that it mean its better than other cameras? I couldn’t say, but it’s no worse that other well known smart devices we use – hence the good rating, equally without other cameras to compare it to, it could be great. Our property has a modern rendered finish with embedded metal meshing which makes it tougher for Wifi to extend outside the house, so these cameras seem to get connected well despite the Faraday cage around our home. It’s always difficult to recommend something when you only have experience of a single item, but my experience of six cameras (different models - 3 indoors and 3 external) is very positive and I will buy more; the main reason is the responsiveness of the app.

Worked for 24 hours then broke
Ordered this installed it and it worked perfect for one day then the next day I got up and the picture was all pixelated so I reset the camera but it was the same. I tried it by WiFi and I tried it by Ethernet.I tried to call the ezviz customer support that is advertised as 24/7 support from 9 am Saturday morning to 4pm but no one answered the phoneI then called amazon and returned the item as I could not get any support with itThey are sending me another to see if that works but if that is the same it will go back and I will have a full refund I will update with how the second camera works if it does that is
