Beautiful coffee table centerpiece
I also have their encylopedia of Theropods, both absolutely gorgeous books, big heavy and the art work is just stunning.A fantastic gift for any dinosaur lover or just buy it for yourself as I did.One of my favourite Amazon purchases this year.Worth every penny.

An excellent view of the sauropods based on current scientific thinking.
I bought the previous volume in this series/by this author, covering the theropod dinosaurs, a couple of years ago and found it excellent. I was pleased to see the recent release of a second volume on the sauropod dinosaurs, bought it and wasn't disappointed as it is every bit as good as the impressive previous volume on the theropods. Like the previous volume, it is a comprehensive non-academic view but representing up to date paleontological thinking. The artwork is striking but plausible adding to the appeal of the book. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting an up to date, popular view of scientific thinking on the sauropods dinosaurs. On the basis of the two volumes published so far, I presume a further volume (or volumes) covering the ornischian dinosaurs will be forthcoming and look forward to it.
