Succinct, applicable Economics textbook
This is a great book for a succinct, applicable overview of economics. I have an economics undergrad and use this while getting my masters. It was great to see all the concepts I learned in undergrad applied to the real world.

High quality, well designed
This book is a great option for serious students of business strategy and economics. It is well constructed, easy to navigate, and clear. It does presume that the reader has a basic grasp of algebra and maybe some calculus. The only disappointment is that this book does come in a Kindle edition.

Text sometimes confusing, default bookseller sucks.
This book is required for my business economics course. I ordered a new copy because it shipped faster and I needed it as soon as possible. I was notified that it was delivered 4 states over a few days after it had actually arrived which caused me to miss out on knowing a few things for some homework, so that was pretty ungroovy. They also sent me a somewhat beat up used copy with writing in it.In terms of the contents of the book itself, it's pretty ok. A few concepts are explained in a manner that isn't exhaustive and sometimes an explanation can pingpong back and forth while trying to give a definition, which makes it difficult to understand certain concepts. For the most part it does a decent job.

Exactly what I ordered in the timeframe that was expected.
Exactly what I ordered in the time frame that was expected. Note that everything is the same as the next edition except the numbers in the problems are different.

Average
Baye may try to remain current with new editions but, otherwise, I'm not impressed. The book can use some more "real world" case studies that aren't more than a half a page as chapter introductions and a half dozen or so topics on the book's website.Chapters only skim over topics, rarely link the topic back to a company application that the reader may be familiar with, and, in reality, the strategy part referred to in the title is missing.I see little research outside of the material that has been parroted from other versions of this text or similar work by other authors. Examples on how to calculate something does not equal strategy; defining what to do after collecting information is strategy and then implementing it is called execution. Perhaps Mr. Baye can read up on Jim Collins, Ram Charan, and other people who do research on corporations and maybe even include actual quotes and examples of decisions made by managers using the topics in this book? After all, managerial economics is supposed to aide people in analyzing data and making decisions.Number one managerial economics text? I don't see why.

Excellent UG textbook
It has all the fundamentals required to support a First class performance. Unfortunately, the supplier took just over a month to deliver it from the date of dispatch. I was quite upset that I was compensated in anyway for this as it is a heavy price for a textbook of this calibre. Overall, the textbook does provide all the relevant information required, and more!If you're looking into buying this, then do it!
