Good size for large family meals
This tub is very sturdy. Its volume is good for larger family meals. I cooked four 2-1/2 pound steaks at once with plenty of room to spare. The balls are about 3/4" in diameter, so they cover more of the surface area than ping pong balls would. They work very well and the mesh storage bag is nice for allowing them to dry completely. My sous vide heater and circulator is an Aicok. The lip of this tub is deeper than the clamp on the circulator is really designed for, but it still worked just fine, and the deeper lip makes it easier to handle so much water at once.

Big enough for entertaining
This container is awesome, I am new to Sous Vide and the first equipment I got was to small for my use. This container is large and very sturdy. It is well built and the plastic ball lid works very well. I was pleasantly surprised, I had never used one before. I would buy this again and would recommend it to anyone.

perfect for full brisket
I needed a little more space for a full brisket (flat and point) for my sous vide / smoke. It works great! I have the point in a bag and split the flat for two bags. Contrary to another review I saw, I never expected this to come with a lid. That reviewer may have been thrown by how the top lip of the container looks like a lid in the images. The balls did come with and work well to limit evaporation. I will say, $74 after tax is atrocious, but the storage bins i tried using were too flimsy. This is very sturdy.

Great for suvade
Works great for suvade fits whole ribs no problem just wish it had lid instead of balls but you can buy it separate if you must have it(I use plastic wraps to keep heat in.

This makes sous vide super easy!
The common reaction I get when people have seen the 12 quart container + balls is "is the container really necessary" and "what the heck are those balls"? My answer is--YES! It's worth it to have these items for sous vide. I did a ton of research, and the balls are the easiest way to create a "lid" to help insulate the water and sous vide, and the obviously benefit is that they're able to move around a larger roast or something that might bump up against a lid. The container itself is great because it's large (obviously)--but I like to have the ability to see through and see how the meat is actually cooking, and you can see the water swirling around. It also makes clean up pretty slick as well. Very happy with my purchase.

Extremely Handy for Sous Vide
Ok. So I really didn't understand what the balls did. I thought the balm kinda kept anything floating down in the water and there was a plastic lid over the top. Nope. The balls are the lid! And a quite effective one actually. It also comes with a net zippered case to keep the balls in that works extremely well. It is fantastic for larger cuts of meat - like a big brisket or several bigger steaks, etc. I store all my sous vide stuff inside the tub so it doubles as a carrying case. Totally worth the price. Go ahead and get one.

Works with Nomiku WiFi
I bought the V2 version of the Nomiku Sous Vide cooker (wifi enabled), and this works well with it. The water levels don't give you that much play, especially if you're adding a lot in the container, so that's something that you'll need to watch as you add food to it. This container held up well during my initial test (two steaks) and the little plastic balls did a great job of preventing evaporation, especially in a colder than usual room with low humidity (prime evaporation conditions). The sack the balls came in works well for keeping them together and letting them dry out after use. This bundle is a great value for the money and is well worth it for anyone doing immersion cooking!

Inaccurate Picture of Product
Picture is innacturate. I ordered this bundle and it did not come with the lid. I consider the picture to be part of the product description and should reflect what you are buying. Please realize that the lid is a separate purchase when considering this product. In addition, the wording"Floating Ball COVER Kit" is a little deceptive. Product itself seems decent and I'll be putting it to use.
