Masterfully created and photographed recipes that work in real life
Wow! The photos are stunning! And, I am literally floored at how masterfully created these dishes are. Every time I turn the page, there’s another thing I want to try. In the recipes i have tried... health and Veggies come first, but so does flavor. There’s a refined quality to the food, but also the familiar (macaroni and not cheese, meatballs, and an artichoke twist on cacio e Pepe that the Italian embassy Cant find out about! Ha) I have also been impressed with the beginning of the book, which gives a quick catchup to how the what to eat when way of eating works (it’s all about timing — eating in balance with your circadian rhythms) But, look I’m not a dieter, I don’t buy a lot of diet books. I love this because it’s a well thought out cookbook with new ideas to eat healthy. The balance thing works for me — Not eating at night makes sense now I can see clearly what eating the when way looks and tastes like. And, it’s delicious. Quick thing: they give a lot of make ahead condiments and sauces at the beginning that are truly unique and yum. If you’re a meal preppier like me, those will come in handy. I think this makes a nice gift.

Never bought it. It arrived at my door
The strange and worrying thing is that I never ordered thos book. It just arrived on my door step. And I cant find any trace of it in my purchases. So I cant even look into how much I laid or when I ordered it. Thus havent even opened it. Good book I'm sure. But it's a hard back. Print on back says $40 som I'm guessing u laid alot. I'd never pay this much for a book. Very worried about how this came to be in my hands.

The Cookbook for Health-Conscious Foodies
I admit my skepticism. Based on Dr. Roizen’s reputation for creating the ground-breaking wellness program for the Cleveland Clinics, I assumed that the book would be good for my health. I didn’t, however, think a cookbook of healthy foods by medical professionals could be so compelling.I was wrong. This is a perfect cookbook for those unwilling to give up great food to eat healthy. The book is full of recipes that can help make you healthy but still make my mouth water.Though it was delivered early, it took me a while to get my hands on the book because my foodie/nutritional biologist wife immediately grabbed it and started a shopping list of ingredients for dishes she wants to make. There are so many recipes in The What to Eat When Cookbook that I want to try, I’ll only mention a few, such as the roasted red pepper muhammara, the roasted trout with crauti, and the blueberry rhubarb pie.The photographs are excellent. The instructions are concise and the extensive nutritional information about each dish provides everything you need to tailor your own diet. I hope there’s a volume 2 of The What to Eat When Cookbook.
