Great gizmo! Fun to watch!
Fun to watch! Magnetic levitation is cool! Just runs and runs and runs. Works well so long as there is decent sunlight. Very susceptible to any shaking (rotor falls off), so be careful not to bump the platform it’s on. Easy to fix, though. Fragile, too. Don’t let it fall to the floor.

Fun
A bit wobbly but fun. Will stop without light and Need to start the spin manually every morning.

Science on point!
This is a really good educational toy but unfortunately the fan came broken which makes the levitating unstable. Hoping for better results with replacement.

Very poor implementation, misbalaned.
The media could not be loaded. As poor of a design as it gets. Poorly balanced, internal resonance creates vibrations that limit the speed. Will not self start and slow speed.

The QZ14 is a fun little solar motor /kinetic art, Great little gizmo for your desk/window
The Model (QZ14) Works perfectly with no impediment to rotation whatsoever. Extremely smooth operation and it will run without direct sunlight. The model QZ05 unfortunately has a problem with the shaft binding and occasionally will stop spinning even in direct sunlight. So of these two solar motors I would recommend the QZ14. I am working with the vendor on the issue with the QZ05 and will update this review accordingly. For some reason I can't give separate reviews for these two solar motors I change the review for one and they both change that's why I included them both in this one review. I was never able to resolve the Binding problem with the QZ05 solar Motor. The offender agreed to exchange it for a working model but unfortunately the cost of sending it back to the vendor was almost as much is buying a new one. The time period for an exchange through Amazon had expired. The QZ05 works intermittently due to the binding issue.
