Great Case, Great Value
This product is well worth its $27.99 price. The design is very well thought out allowing you to attach your touchscreen and then connect your Raspberry Pi via the longer ribbon cable they supply. Beyond how well things fit together and how sleek and functional the design is, I like that there is a snap on cover that holds the Raspberry Pi in place. Rather than taking out some screws to remove the board when you want to access the micro SD card, you just pop off the cover. Also, once everything is in place there is still access to the GPIO header making it easy to attach an add-on board like a DAC converter. They also include a micro-USB Y-cable to power the screen and the Rapsberry Pi.Another feature I like is that the unit folds nearly flat when you're ready to put it away. An included bonus is that they supply the hardware to attach the unit to something other than the base they provide.I agree that they could have included some simple instructions. This isn't a complex case, but you really do need some instructions to get it right the first time. Luckily there are a few videos on YouTube that will help you through the five minute process. Some reviewers complain that there is no access to the HDMI port. I think this was done on purpose because, out of the box, the HDMI port is disabled when the touchscreen is attached. Apparently there is a software solution allowing simultaneous use of the touchscreen and an HDMI monitor, but the average user won't use both.Bottom line: if you are using the official Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen, this is the case for it.

Well thought out and well made with thoughtful extras included!
THIS is the case that works for me.I bought this to build a little dedicated emulation box for my desk.Hits all the marks for quality and usability and holds the display in the correct orientation. Fit and finish are great.I have the fairly standard aluminum heat sinks installed on my Pi 3B and there is plenty of clearance for all of them. They've even provided a cut-out for the CPU heat sink on the cover to allow for additional airflow. (also looks cool)One screw seemed to interfere with the cover closing; however it looks like the cover itself may be intended to hold down one corner of the Pi.(Perhaps the screw hole is an option for when the cover isn't being employed to help secure the Pi board) -not a problem and also cleverly done.I wasn't expecting the additional camera case and metal hinges. That's really outstanding as they could have easily been sold as an extra kit but weren't. (Thank you!)The extra hinges allow the display to be permanently mounted to something, which is a really cool option to have, especially given the experimental nature of the Pi and the varying applications it gets employed in.

Nice case, wall mountable or desktop stand, your choice
I have this set up and working fairly well. The case is great, the touchscreen monitor is OK, but not great, but that is a different product, I'll review that separately. My one and only complaint about this is that there really aren't any instructions, though I found it to be fairly self explanatory to set up. You can mount this on a wall or have it used as the stand. The case itself blocks off the GPIO port, though there may be a way to make that work if you were so inclined. In my case, the touchscreen monitor took two ports from the GPIO to power it up, though I could have powered it separately. I can think of some pretty cool uses for wall mounting this as an appliance, though I will have to figure out how to get full GPIO access to make use of those triggers.

Nice case - worh the money.
This is a nice little Pi case. It feels sturdy, and both the Pi and he touch screen fit snugly into the case. There are only three things that prevent me from giving this a 5 star score. First, there is no instruction booklet. Even though the case is simple to assemble, and the screen is easy to install, it still would have been nice to have one so that I wouldn't have to take the extra moment to figure out which screws go where. Secondly, even though the backplate for the Pi includes a window to accommodate a heatsink, I would have preferred to see an actual fan mount, similar to what is included in many other Pi cases. I chose to leave the back cover off my Pi because I'm using a dual fan sink for my 3b+ anyway, but it would have been nice to include for people who use a single fan on their Pis. Finally, you cannot easily access the microSD card while the Pi is mounted in the case - you have to remove the Pi in order to gain access to the slot. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely recommend this to people who want a touchscreen mount for their Pi projects.

Great for projects
Exactly what I've been waiting for. I bought some laser cut plastic legs, and one broke within a week. I've been wanting to print out some legs on a 3D printer at work, but hadn't got around to it.Then I saw the SmariPi Touch. Yes. Exactly what I've been looking for. It's built very sturdy - this won't be breaking a week. Provides a nice stable base so it won't tip over. Full of nice details like a knock-out for a heatsink, optional metal hinge bases for direct mounting to surfaces, includes a longer display ribbon to make it all work nice, and a Y splitter to power the display and raspi from a single power source.Very well though out, very well made. I will be recommending this to all my friends. Buy one. You'll love it.

Brilliant piece of kit!
if your into your modification of cars and dont like the standard head unit, this is an absolute belting piece of kit(after you by your pi3/3b+) to set up as a integrated satnav/bluetooth/music system. couldnt recommend it enough!

Perfekt!
