Quality item. Well made.
Good scope. Easy to use. Not 40X. More like 10X or 12X.

Very comfortable to use
Very nice 1 eye view, has 2 different adjustments, very easy to use. Definitely worth the price. After using it for a while you would think it was a $100 dollar item. Very nice product so far. I bird watch, some bikini watching! But not much of that, mostly wildlife viewing.

good product for the money
good product, easy to carry on travel, the magnification is reasonable but not as I thought it would be. the set up for using cell phone to take pictures is very hard.

It's cute, has issues, and not what I expected.
This is the first monocular I've ever tried. I bought it for a specific purpose and wasn't able to see the distance I expected. Adding my iPhone did help some, but it kept blinking to black screen if I zoomed too far? I've since read that maybe a 10x zoom is better, also read that some of these 40x and 80x are not the actual zoom of the monocular alone– that they're counting the potential added zoom of the phone. So, why then can I not zoom more than 1.7x with my phone? I don't know. I'm still researching. I found this a bit frustrating. Like I said, I'm new to this. Take my opinion with a grain of salt. Having said that, there were issues with the holder that attaches to the monocular. Whether I'm new to using a monocular or not, this part is a problem. The rubber cup part that connects to the eye piece sometimes slowly slid off, hence dropping off the phone. I managed to catch it, but you should beware. I'm not sure if I received a used piece or not. Maybe it was stretched out some? But I had it connected as far as it could go. The part that covers and isolates the phone camera– when in place and tightened, actually bows out and away from the camera and leaves a significant gap instead of being flush. I think this may be part of the distortion when trying to zoom or take photos. This started within just about a week or less after trying to learn how to use it. Poor quality. ONE big issue I had, the part of the attachment that clamps and holds the phone, snapped apart and broke while using it. I was surprised when it did and just barely caught my phone before it hit the ground. I had the monocular attached to my camera tripod which is close to 5 feet from the ground. To me, it's not worth having to replace a $1000.00+ phone to capture birds and things. It's not well built, so you may want to consider buying something more sturdy. Prepare yourself for that possibility of damage to your phone. I've only had this for about 2 weeks, so I am returning it. When trying to set up for the return, 'troubleshooting' was recommended. That's nice, but parts being cheap and breaking isn't really a 'troubleshooting' issue. I'm hoping to figure out which monocular would be better to use. I wanted to get better shots of full moons and these beautiful birds and such, but I also need to have one for a specific reason- monitoring suspicious activity that affects personal safety. That means I need to be able to see and capture faces and license plate numbers for police. Proof. I'd also like something with more security for holding my phone. As for stargazing? LOL. This one isn't it. I wish we had the old review style here on this site. I really miss being able to give or receive comments or suggestions from others who may know of better products. I've spent lots of time researching and reading and feel like I'm not really getting too far. *EDIT TO ADD: I ordered this when it had a special coupon price. It was a 'SPONSORED' listing, and the reviews are different on those. It's like it gathers up and shows mostly ALL rave reviews, the 4-5 star reviews. Once you get the product and the item you purchased shows up on your account asking for a review, the link to the product shows more of the negative reviews. You'll read them and wonder how you missed so many of these negative reviews. Even though I knew this happens (it happened when I was trying to buy a quality TV antenna) and I continued searching for the negative reviews, I wasn't seeing them. I think this is a shady practice. Reading through them after like, yep, yep, that happened, yep that broke, UGH. Frustrating.
