What is the highest oven temperature you can use this in?

Well the melting point of cast iron is 2100-2200 degrees Fahrenheit. So figure a working temperature of the cast iron at 1100. How hot are you wanting to get this little 1qt pot?

What are the product dimensions?

Anyone cooked oatmeal in cast iron? I’d use a 1qt specifically for that purpose if it would not stick . . .

First of all the cast iron pans need to be seasoned. I cook in them everyday. Season with oil and heat. If need be put more oil in so it doesn’t tend to stick.

Does this cook rice well? Trying to avoid aluminum and I can't find many more options for cooking rice.

I purchased this pot and use it regularly for rice, following the recipe on the bag: 2 parts water and 1 part rice. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer. Rice turns out perfectly every time -- even more reliably than the teflon-coated pot I used to use.
