GREAT Book
I buy lots of books. If I want to learn something, I just "buy the literature" - i.e. all the recommended books on the subject. This book makes that strategy unnecessary. It covers everything in a detailed but readable manner. Also, it omits the lame "humor" found in many "For Dummies" books.Buy it - you won't be disappointed/

Clear and understandable
This is an excellent introduction to Fundamental Analysis. It clearly explains what the various ratios of fundamental analysis are and what they mean. But it also gives extremely valuable discussions of the reasons why fundamental analysis uses them. It's a very good place to start if you are looking to learn a lot more about stock research and the reasons why seasoned investors do what they do.

Maybe try the newer edition
Overall a decent introduction. However, I feel silly buying this edition seeing now there’s a newer one. That’s mostly because this edition has a bunch of editorial errors that make it less comprehensive. Some key terms seem to get mixed up, as well as an incorrect math calculation (see pic for bad attempt at % change). For a book geared towards beginners those kind of issues are frustrating.

Good Book
This has so much detail and easy to understand. I've read the 'Dummies' books on other subjects and they are usually very basic, almost too basic. But this is perfect for the beginner and for someone who has some working knowledge of the stock market. I've already used it to purchase two stocks and I am doing well.

Accurately described and useful book
This makes a great supplement to more classic investing books like Intelligent Investor or Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits. It's also a good introduction to more advanced concepts discussed in books on security analysis, business valuation, and accounting. Highly recommend and there is a good amount of actionable information in this.

Really helped me get a better understanding on what so should be looking for when researching investment opportunities
Great book on fundamentals and an easy read... Well as easy as it can be for someone learning how to invest in the stock market. A+ material

This book falls short
This book offers many formulas and ratios that are used in fundamental analysis. Unfortunately you could find all these elsewhere for free. I was disappointed that many of the referenced websites did not work, not surprising I guess since this book was published in 2016...maybe out of date. Also disappointed that the 'cheat sheet' is not much of a cheat sheet. I wanted all the background as why the ratios/formulas are important but also wanted a succinct walk through of most valuable fundamental analysis steps to evaluate a given stock and this book fails, leaving me to try to cobble together my own.

For most layman's perspectives, a very excellent and thorough discussion and explanation.
Educating myself how to analyze and evaluate possible recommended investments and the literature provided by stockbrokers.

Boring First Part, but after that it's very well written, to-the-point.
Updating my rating and feedback. I found the part 1 of this book to be extremely boring. I like to-the-point books, and this part is full of rant and sales pitch for fundamental analysis. It put me off, and I put the book aside. Only later out of curiosity I picked it up once again to see if later chapters are any better, and to my surprise part 2 onwards, this is a very to-the-point book, just as I like it and just as the "for dummies" series is supposed to be.I would certainly recommend this book, just skip the first part if you are like me, who want a crisp and to-the-point source of information.
