Small amount but looks as advertised
I thought two pounds would be enough to fill the bottoms of multiple pots. It filled 4 which is alright but I expected it to fill at least 6 pots. Each of the pots pictured has an inch of the pebbles in the bottom. It took the whole container, they are also the smallest pots I currently have (5, 6, 6.5, & 8in pots). I have multiple new plants that need repotting but now will have to wait to order more pebbles to finish them all. This was my error but for other’s reference, buy more than you think you need.

Beads are smaller than expected but really cute!
I had plans to use these on so many things but underestimated how much I’d need, especially in bigger pots. I also want to try them with propagations next time!! With that being said they look really nice in the few plants I put them in. I’ve heard that these help prevent fungus gnats so I’m hoping it helps with that :)

Great Top Dressing For Succulent Garden
I was honestly impressed with how far this container went when used as a top-dressing for my different succulent pots. Because I was nervous about the weight of the beads (not like Leca - noticeably heavy), I opted to use these as decorative gravel on my succulents with thicker and less squishable root systems. When used to cover pot soil such that it’s only 2-3 layers of pearls thick, I noticed no ill effects on my plants and was pleased to see how much use I got out of such a compact container.I loved the size of these clay balls because they were able to work well with a variety of different (indoor) succulent sizes. They also provided a nice visual contrast to the plants themselves and were helpful for my photography work since they isolate the body of the plant quite nicely.I’ve also begun to plant some of my extremely low water succulents/cacti (ex: Lithops) in this substrate, sprinkling in just a tad of succulent potting mix to allow for some water retention and have had great success. If you also own Lithops, I would even say this product is a must-have since it is excellent at preventing common issues of overwatering or excessive water retention.

This is not LECA
I’m new to leca, and the item description was unclear. These are clay pellets with no air in them. Very heavy. Pretty color tho. I’m using them as top dressing for leca to hold my baby plants in place. Fingers crossed they do not rot my plants.

Holy dust, Batman!
I never understood what ppl in other reviews meant by the dust... they're sick of all the dust from clay pebbles. Well, i now understand. Based on those reviews, i took it upon myself to thoroughly rinse the pebbles before use. They looked so pretty and vibrant when wet.. what harm could they be??Thought i did good. After putting it in my fishtank for gravel, then hooking up the bubbler, there appeared to be a duststorm in my fishtank for at least a week!! I thought, "Why the hell is it so cloudy in there?? Is it my new pump swirling things around??" Well folks, after it cleared up, i realized my pump/hydroponic set-up was doing its job; However, the clay pebbles were the devil in disguise. Apparently, they just seep dust. My fish could only take so much and ended up dying. TOTALLY made me upset, bc it was the cutest little fish ever-- a tiny albino pleco. Haven't bothered with another fish (still upset by the loss of Skeletor).. just the plant still in the top getting watered by the tank. Next time, I'll just leave the pebbles to my regular pot and dirt plants or terrariums.

Less than I expected.
The photos make it seem like you'll get your moneys worth but what I got was a container about the size of a larger spice shaker you might get from the grocery store. Its not a lot.

Not traditional LECA, but super cute & good quality
I purchased the blue and grey clay/ceramicsite pebbles. Shown are pictures with what they look like rinsed off and in water, they are pretty small and uniform… Just what I wanted! None were cracked that I could see and I rinsed both throughly. V sturdy little pellets!!These are a type of ceramic, but that’s totally okay. They don’t retain water as well as regular LECA, but I wanted something that could glam up the regular stuff. I’ve added some pics showing what happens after a couple days with only ceramic balls. I’ve also included a picture of the final version of my project, blending more traditional LECA and these pebbles (perfect!).It’s all about expectations - don’t use this as a substrate to wick/retain water as well as LECA. They immediately sink when you put them in water - which may be a good thing for placing on top of LECA while it’s still absorbing water/in the floating stage. But either way, these ceramic-blend balls are high quality and pair well with LECA. I’m quite happy with the purchase. ❤️

J’aime bien
Merci
