My husband bought a wooden bowl at a craft show and told a lovely story about how it reminded him of his grandmother's bowl that always had plastic fruit in it. (Great story: they were told as children, "if you are good, you can have a piece of fruit" but they were never quite good enough. Eventually they learned it was because the fruit was fake!) So I searched for some fake fruit to put in our new bowl. At a glance this fruit looks realistic (enough that my husband picked up the apple for a snack and was bitterly disappointed to find out it wasn't real), but it doesn't take long to recognize that they aren't real. The oranges especially seemed to be unrealistic to me, but I just buried them. The grape leaves kept falling off, so not great quality there. In general, these are just fine for what they are: fake fruit sitting in a bowl as decoration. I wouldn't recommend them as children's toys or for any active use, and they aren't realistic enough for food staging photos, in my opinion. They seemed a bit pricey for what they are, but then everything is pricey these days. For a happy memory from my husband's childhood, they are worth every cent. If it were just a way to fill a bowl, I think I'd find a cheaper alternative.

I was throwing away more real fruit than eating it. We all know how expensive that can be nowadays! So, I thought I would try plastic fruit. Which I haven't used in years, lol! I'm glad I did. It's more realistic than the fruit from a long time ago. Love it! Shipping was fast and packed well.

Not bad. From distance it looks good. Apples and Oranges look more realistic . Again, if you want 100% real fruit looking, then buy real fruit.

No concern with the looks however the texture of the fruits are somewhat styrofoam-ish. My initial purpose was to include this in my child's play kitchen but definitely upon close inspection of the texture, a child can easily bite on it that make cause choking etc. I guess it is still okay to be played by kids however an adult supervision is necessary. If you're only using them for decoration then By all means enjoy.

Had ceramic fruit, but over the years, kept breaking, so went for this. I think they look so realistic, but I taker off a star of the phony looking leaves on the peaches and grapes. I pulled them off the peaches, but left them on the grapes. I may pull them off of it. I saw other fake fruit and the ones with bananas look so phony, I wanted a set without bananas. This is the one.
