Q: How many gals will it take to do 20ft pontoon

1 gallon would be plenty, the aluma kleen is a concentrate, dillution ratios are on the bottle. If done properly(don't spray large areas at a time, you'll cause drop streaks), you can make it look brand new again. Dilute according to directions, spray on small areas at a time(if it dries, before you rinse, you'll get streaks), work in with a soft bristle brush, keep area moist with additional aluma clean or water, rinse treated area before it begins to dry. Only attempt in the shade, hard to keep moist above 80F, water based, so starts to freeze on aluminum at 40F. If you follow with a metal polish, you can make it shine like stainless steel, but that's a lot of work on a pontoon.

Q: Will this work on an awning and not kill bushes?

I don't know. I used on a horse trailer and it worked great and did not kill grass around trailer when I washed it off. I did this last fall and the trailer has set outside all winter and it still shines even after taking it down the road.

Q: Does this kill grass?

It didn’t kill the grass when I used it. Be sure to clean from bottom up or it stains.
