The best out of (4) competing amps
This is my 3rd keyboard amp in this price/watt range. I had a Crate amp that I gave up on 3 years ago. It developed a short in the main volume knob that I had fixed once, but the problems came back. It's still in my garage, worthless. I bought a Behringer Ultratone 45w to replace the Crate amp. This Ultratone amp seemed to have a lot of features, like equalizer, echo control, etc. But the echo control renders it worthless. The equalizer is redundant to the controls on the synthesizer, and need to be fixed at neutral anyway. I get tons of FX feedback. And it hums. Still, it works pretty well. Only, I didn't realize how bad the sound quality was until I put it side-by-side with this Peavey amp. I used the Peavey in conjunction with the Behringer as a PA system for a Halloween haunted forest this week. Between the two of them, we had plenty of sound to spare over a 10 acre forested area. The Peavey was clearly the winner. The volume on the Peavey was noticeably louder and we had to turn the Peavey down considerably to balance to the distortion level of the Behringer. The Peavey doesn't have a bunch of worthless 'features' to get in the way of quality sound and volume. It's solid, heavy, the knobs feel sturdy, and there is like NO distortion, even turned all the way up. I haven't connected it to a live keyboard/synthesizer yet, but as a PA system, it is fantastic for the price. It's a little more pricey than Crate/Behringer options. But way less than the Roland. I heard the Roland amp in my local music store, and it was solid, but its over $100 more than the Peavey. Having done the comparison of (4) competing models, this one is clearly the winner.

Tried and true, flawless and affordable
I've had a ton of amps in my day, but nothing matches Peavy for versatility, price, and simplicity. This one is no exception. Great range, the bass is as deep as you could hope for a speaker of this size (KB2), and there is absolutely zero buzz/fuzz background hiss. 4 inputs is great (3 "channels" and one "monitor"). Peavy is the carhartt pants or ford tucks of amps or whatever you want to use as your classic go-to standard euphemism. I play bass, keyboard, drum machine, and sometimes run vocals through this, with 100% satisfaction. Two of them in stereo would be sick, or pair this as your floor speaker with a couple Kali LP6 monitors, and you're set for life.

Fantastic sound and versatility for the money
I bought one of these used several years ago, and was sad that I had to give it up. It's basically a one man PA system for someone like me, since I used the two Instrument inputs for my bass guitar and backing audio from my iPod as a drum machine of sorts. If needed, I could always use the mic line for added vocals, though I've only had need to do it a few times. Still, I love that it's always an option if I want it.The biggest selling point for me was being able to individually adjust the volume and tone options for each input on the unit itself, rather than having to adjust them separately with pedals or mixers. The adjustments are pretty basic, just affecting the low/high range outputs, but that's enough for me to be honest. The volume output is pretty impressive too, I could easily take this thing to a large show and I don't think anyone would have a problem hearing me turned up, not even at max volume.Never actually used it for keyboard stuff though, even though it's technically a keyboard amp. Still, great for bass playing. Would recommend this thing any day.

A great amp for the money.
My wife is a Hammond B3 player, mostly jazz (I’m the guitarist). For pickup gigs she used a Hammond SK-2 combo organ. For many years we had to drag around a 78 Lb Roland KC-550 keyboard amp. And for all except theater gigs she never needs that much firepower. So I found this well reviewed Peavy keyboard amp.At first she didn’t want an amp with a 10” speaker. They’ve never worked well before. But I talked her into trying it, and she was amazed at the sound.Playing left hand bass into a small 10” speaker keyboard amp before always gave wimpy bass response, but the Peavy has great bass response!Admittedly this amp probably would not work well on a big stage with a loud rock band like the KC-550, but for pickup club gigs it’s great. It only weights 38 lbs so she can move it herself too, and save my back from a 78 lb Roland amp. And for $300 the price is right.Thank you Peavy for saving my back!
