Nice screen - for what it is. Reliability is questionable though.
This is old technology but perfect if you want a USB screen and aren't too fussed about the best picture quality / viewing angles.I bought this to extend my desktop screen to a separate location within my room. Purely functional, so wasn't fussed about resolution or viewing angles, etc.I found, after trying a number of extension cables, that I had to at least keep the extension in series with the supplied cable or the screen wouldn't work.My experience came to a premature end unfortunately - after a few weeks of use without problem the top portion of the screen failed - white with faint vertical lines. I assume something internally came loose or got damaged somehow. I have seen other similar reports. However, I have since returned and purchased this product again - keeping my fingers crossed that the new one turns out to be more reliable. After a lot of research, there is nothing else on the market at this price point that ticks all the boxes for me...

Worth it for under 100 Euros.
Not great bit not terrible. Medium and only worth getting if under 100 Euros. I got it for less than 75 which was OK. Useful as an extra 3 monitor in Portrait mode sometimes for reading Documents.

Amazon sent me an used one
I bought this for an emrgency use, the one which I used until a night ago gave up due to careless handling on my side so bought this for three reasons i) wasn't looking anything fancy ii) wanted it for a decent price iii) Amazon can deliver next day morning. The delivery was speedy but to my surprise Amazon sent me a used one (or at-least opened already) which had a tiny scratch on the front panel - I am not returning it because I just need to use this and can't do my work without an additional display. In terms of the display quality if you know what to expect from a USB powered display you wont be surprised but compared to my previous one (ASUS) I would say the brightness is on the lower side and is bulkier -probably because of rigid housing/case, the USB cable that I received is Y shaped (two ports on one end , one each for display & power inputs) which is of no use to me as I use a powered USB hub which should provide the power that the display needs on a single port. Overall I am bit disappointed that I received a used one for the price of new but in terms of picture quality I am neither impressed nor disaapointed.

Works well
The drivers for this install automatically and it starts working after a minute or so. The laptop double end of the cable doesn't need to be plugged into two USB's on a modern laptop.Adjusting brightness wouldn't work in the windows settings. It simply adjusted the brightness of my laptop screen. However the diplaylink app on the windows store allowed me to adjust contrast and brightness of this portable unit and also allows screen rotation. You have to select the ("hyperlink") portable screen in the app to navigate to its settings (not sure why folks say this doesn't work tbh - I tested on Windows 10 and Windows 11 laptops)Build is as reported / bit plasticy - Stand is sturdy. Unit is quite thick.Overall a really good buy for an occasional use portable screen if you can get a cheap deal.

First impressions good
I spent a while deciding which one to get as an add on for working from home on a now too small laptop screen. I looked at USB-C ones but couldn't confirm the ports on our two laptops had the required Alt mode so played safe with this one. Installed fine, resolution fine, colour fine for work but perhaps less contrast than the main screen. It also looks nice and the stand works well. I tried it on an old laptop but it didn't work as I don't think the ports had enough power to drive it and probably wouldn't have been fast enough for video. The case is a bonus and perfect to keep it in but a pocket for the cable would have been nice.My only negative is as the case doesn't have a handle you can feel the monitor flex when you hold it. All in all not as good as a normal monitor but perfect for travelling or keeping at the side of the sofa for occasional use, and much tidier as there is only one cable.
