DOES NOT "FIT YOUR VEHICLE"
Researched this item and it said "fits your vehicle". Not true. I have a 1999 gmc Sierra and the connector that goes to the radio is too large. So I bought an adaptor at local radio shack($10) and thought I was home free, wrong. The larger connector would not fit through the hole in the fire wall and it's impossible to drill a larger hole where it's located. I had to run it through where the door hinges and sneak it back under the dash. Also, the triangular base mount holes did not match up exactly. I did ultimately get reception, but very disappointed. I'm going to attempt to contact amazon to rectify this so called "fits your vehicle".

No AM radio
I purchased this antenna as a replacement for my 2001 Suburban. After viewing the picture of the mounting base on Amazon, it appeared to have the same triangular three hole configuration. When it arrived in the mail, I confirmed that it was the same shape as the original. The screws were different, not machined screws like the original, so I had to use the old ones - no big deal. Removal and replacement of the old antenna was pretty straight forward. I did have to use a drill to make one of the holes a little longer (it would not line up with the hole for the screw on the vehicle), but after that it was easy. I then threaded the wire into the vehicle and connected it to the radio. Be advised - the threading of the antenna wire may be difficult if you have never done this before. The original wire may run behind ducts, electronics, dash components and other obstructions. You will also have to remove the dash trim to pull out the radio and make the radio connection. Anyway, I have AM radio once more and now I can pick up better FM reception!

Not OEM not a replacment !...
don't waist you money! While it may say OEM or replacement, neither is true. The base has to be drilled out to align with the factory holes. The plug is too large (pin on end is long). The worst part of this is that the manufacture could not take the time to put the swirl in the mast. This will cause an amazing whistle sound that starts around 55, and will get to a deafening roar at 70.
