Made for rough use
My first impression: Priced right. Cheap, but will likely remain usable at least the next 15+ years. For the price, decent value.Have not yet tried the microwave or dishwasher, nor tomato based sauce, but will update review accordingly.Pros:-Feels both strong and flexible. Will definitely take a beating. I could see this easily surviving a fall from an airliner, unlikely as that may be.-Pleasant colors, not overwhelmingly saturated, nor dull.-Large capacity, capable of holding a huge single meal or be used as a serving dish.-Lightweight, easily transportable.-At $5 per bowl, and 15+ years use, very cost effective.-(As yet untested) microwavable, dishwasher-able.Cons:-Product arrived quite dirty, with lots of dust and some debris, including a human hair. Simple cardboard box with no other seal or padding. I did not order a used set.-Arrived with some scratches on the interior, likely at the point of contact when stacked, but also some on the exterior, seemingly not due to stacking.-Surface is a textured matte finish that will likely scratch easily. I will never dare using a knife with these bowls. My toddler will likely leave teeth marks.-Rough/sharp casting edges at the bottom. Not too bad at the rim, but noticable.-May be too large for some meals. Cereal, for instance, depending on the person.-Colors may or may not go with eclectic decor, but definitely does not read aesthetically as 'classy' or 'quality'.-Made of plastic, which despite all efforts, may one day end up in a landfill and exist well beyond my children's lifetime.-Mildly confusing marketing of this product as environmentally friendly and being mingled with and compared to listings of wheat straw products. But that is purely an issue of my perception. Conclusion:Based on the weight of Pros to Cons, including the inconvenience of returns and looking for alternatives, I will not be returning these bowls, though it was an option I considered. As of this moment, this is an unbiased assessment, and I will proceed to field test and report back. However, in the interest of full disclosure, I am open to incentives or attempts at rectifying the product's various shortcomings, and will update my review accordingly.

Great Durable Bowls
I absolutely loved these bowls! It’s everything described in the advertisement. I use it for almost everything from ramen to cereal and salad. It’s thick enough to protects my hands from stove hot food. It’s plastic and can’t break even when drop, and is dishwasher friendly. The size is perfect for our household. The yellow one is my favorite because it’s such a bright color. I plan to buy more but this time I will focus on the colors.

Good ramen bowls
Perfect ramen bowls! The size is exactly right and they’re made from sturdy plastic. I eat a lot of homemade ramen (and takeout ramen). I don’t care about fancy ramen bowls, but usual bowls just aren’t big enough. Salad bowls are way too big on the other hand. These ramen bowls are light, easy to clean, cheap yet well-made, exactly what I was looking for!

Top layer is literally peeling off into food after minimal use
Have only owned these for 3 months and they weren't used daily. I don't use a dishwasher, so the surface damage is from it not holding up to near boiling water or not holding up to the microwave. Since all the damage is inside the bowl, it is definitely related to the heat the water is at or the food reaches from m microwave. Whatever the case may be, it is literally peeing apart to the point that it is getting into food even if I try to take off loose pieces first.I don't like the idea of eating an unknown amount of plastic with my Ramen, so I'll have to eat the cost of these. I need to just throw them away and look for something different.Peeling starting by just looking like a scratch mark. If you see that and are within the timeframe to return them, don't wait to do so.

Plastic will scrape off!
I loved using these lightweight bowls for big salads & grain bowls, but after a month of daily use, my fork left pieces of plastic at the bottom of the bowl. I ended up replacing these bowls with Crate & Barrel swoop bowls made of porcelain.
