My original review was 1-star because I didn’t realize that there is *supposed* to be a 1 Megaohm resistor along the path of the wire, and mine was failing a continuity check. But that was my own ignorance - I switched to resistance measurement and got 1 Mohm on the nose!

This product oozes great design execution. I used to read about the importance of grounding one's self when doing any type of upgrade on a laptop or desktop. But, I took some advise on how to construct one's own wiring harness between a ground (from a 3-prong socket) and one's own wrist. However mine was awkward to use, and kept falling off while I tried to use it. So, after seeing a Youtube.com video where a demonstrator admitted that he was acting without one, I tried to justify foregoing the safety of using one while accesses the interior of my computers. This was a mistake that I admittedly got away with, but the predominant advice is still to use one, so, after researching the various commercially available ones, choose this one. It does not 'fall off' while you're using it, and the peace of mine you have when using it enables you to focus so well on the work at hand, without compunction.

Clever design for light bench work on sensitive electronics like computers. It would be even better if one of the alligator ends had a sleeve on two sides so the second cable (male-male) could be used as an extension. But as is, it works great for a 3 ft. reach. But, it works as advertised, and with reasonable care it should last long enough to recoup your investment.

It works great, easy to use. My only problem is the cables are a little short.

I tested these with my multimeter and so long as it’s plugged into a properly grounded outlet, any electrical charge in my body is fully diverted.

They only sent the wire with a clip on each end. There is no way to clip that onto that plug thing. Looked flimsy to me. It's still sitting on my floor unused.🙄

everytime I got off the couch and reached for the laptop I got a huge spark... now I have a grounding mat under the laptop and connected it to ground using this plug - problem solved!

This wrist strap feels really nice! The band is comfortable. The wires aren’t silicon but still feel good. The banana plugs and alligator clips feel a little basic, but they definitely get the job done. I very much like the design as you can ground your board with the second lead or just use it as a banana to banana jumper for a solder-less breadboard or test equipment. You can also use the alligator clips in the field to ground your self to computer cases and what not. All in all, worth it!

I like this anti-static bracelet a lot, well built and gives the wearer the option of working at a distance from the outlet, using the extension.Recommend this for sure
