MAGICRIG Camera Cage with Standard Cold Shoe for Sony A7RIII /A7III /A7M3 Camera

*Insert applause here* I don't know what 'warmth' is for the ratings, but I gave that a 5 as well. This thing is solid! Very well built, especially for the price. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone, whether it's their first cage or if they've used multiple cages. It has a bit of weight to it, but that just speaks about the build quality. There are so many mounting points on this thing that you can easily build your entire rig however you see fit. I'm using the A7S II, and it fits like a glove. I've had mine a couple weeks now, and I'm shooting a music video this weekend with this cage. I really cant wait! I also have a Ronin-M, and there are no issues with balancing, meaning the weight is evenly distributed. Again, highly recommended. If I was selfish, I'd rate it a 1 star, just so it doesn't become popular and they jack the price up, because I'm definitely getting a backup, as well as one for my 5d Mark IV if they have them haha! Whether you're a beginner or a pro, it'll definitely suit your needs!

This cage is pretty good. It is a one piece kit (ie very rigid, and no assembly required). It is the same quality as the smallrig I have. Yet, the price is better. There are a plethora of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 holes on all sides. The cage is attached via the tripod hole and lanyard ring of the camera. There are two cold shoe slots on the top. On the top corners are slits for a sling. On the right side, top and bottom, are also slits so you can attach a palm harness. Overall I am quite happy with this product.

Adds a slight amount of bulk squaring off the corners of the body's foot print but doesn't add much weight. Lots of mounting points. I added a hdmi clamp and micro hdmi to full hdmi to the side and it all fit seamlessly.No wiggle or play between the cage and the body even when using a heavier lens like the sigma 24-70.I'd say worth it to protect your investment or to add mounting points to your camera.

Well worth the money on my Sony alpha.I purchased both the small rig and the magic rig, I did hours of research and by far for the money magic rig is way ahead of the game.Small rig thinks that the unit is made out of gold.This one is great for my Professional set up.I did the research and magic rig won.It’s light, has plenty of hot shoes and cheese plate attachments. I’m a lot happier with it especially with the price and construction. It even comes with a magnetic screwdriver on the bottom.Rad design all in.I’ll definitely buy one for my Sony alpha S iii

Bought 2 of these cages to mount a CamRanger 2 wireless tether system to a Sony Alpha A7ii and an A7Rii in my studio. The CamRanger attaches to the cold shoe via a SmallRig tilting monitor mount and is easily swapped between the camera depending on my needs. Much cheaper than the SmallRig version and does the job perfectly allowing the CamRanger to be conveniently mounted without impeding the light triggers on the cameras’ hot shoes.
