Trance Part,y, Vol. 5
I think this is an excellent compilation, at least as far as this genre goes. Every track had a very edgy, driving beat. No mamby-pamby filler tracks here. Plenty of crescendos and wailing Divas. My only caveat is that I found a couple of tracks that appear on other Robbins Dance/Trance compilations, so if you buy a lot of them, you might end up with some duplicates. "No one ever said life is fair, Tina."

Met my expectations
In comparison to its four predecessors, Trance Party Vol.5 is simply good but not great. I have noticed that there is a larger presence of female vocalists in this compilation which does add an effeminate popish taste to it. But the melodies are very enjoyable and the transitions blend the tracks very well. In my perspective, I was a big fan of the previous Trance Party Volumes (especially vol.2) and this volume did not harm the series in anyway. However, don't expect to draw new people into the genre of trance with this CD, pick up Vol.2 for that.

Great Stuff
The more I listen to this CD, the more I love it. All the songs are upbeat (emotionaly and speed-wise) and just...well, ROCK. Kind of expensive, but there's no filler, you get your money's worth.

pretty good.
Up to par with the usual Trance Party CDs.Some really good tracks, and some that are kind of boring. All in all, pretty good trance music.[and yes, the majority are about love..just like the majority of trance tracks, period.]

Cool songs, but just another commercial trance compilation that is not convincing to average trance listeners.
Ok. First off this cd is pretty expensive. But it has some cool high energy trance songs that are very catchy and could be played as background music at a party or etc. Other than that this cd is pretty pathetic. I personally think Tracks 1,5,11,12 and 13 were the best songs on this cd but besides those highlights the rest are typical pathetic trance songs and trance remakes of other trance songs. Also the mixing of this cd is worthless, i noticed that they used all radio edits on all the songs on this cd and you can tell that at the last 10 seconds of each track they start rushing in the next song which makes the music seem like it was all clipped together. You can definitely tell when listening closely to the lead out of "tess - the second you sleep" going into "kassi - threw it all away" which in my sense gives it all away.In the long run this is a good cd to have if you're a beginner trying to get into typical commercial trance songs that usually get airplay on the radio. For you average trance listeners i'd buy this cd if you catch it at a clearence sale or etc but i'd advise to stick to the Dream Dance and Ministry of sound compilations because 1, dream dance is unmixed radio edits of the best trance and house. And ministry of sound offers the same and at least mixes their music way better than they did on this cd.

Awful, just awful
First off, so you know that I'm not biased in any way, I own every single Trance Party cd, as well as, most of the Ultra Trance and Dance cd's, and a host of others. I love trance/dance/house music. Now, compared to last year's Trance Party 4, this is awful. The Trance Party series went from underground, catchy trance and eurodance songs to this piece of garbage. The people at Robbins Ent realized that people like some of their female vocalists so this whole cd caters to them and only them. There are perhaps 3-4 good songs here:Blue Water is 3 stars, catchy but a little weak. Good bass.Inspiration is a B side at best from IVD.Without Love is catchy but very effeminate.Until You Love Me, are we seeing a pattern? Every song on this cd mentions the word LOVE at least 52 times. It's fine for one or two tracks, but not the whole cd.I Miss You from DHT, the only other good song from DHT besides Listen To Your Heart. Again a sappy love song with some keyboards to make it "trance". Yeah ok.Tell Me from Lasgo, another weak song. Lasgo really fell off.Everytime We Touch from Cascada - excellent beginning, that's about it.I didn't review the other songs because after 4 listens, I still have no recollection of those songs, because they're so plain and boring. This cd is ok for 16 girls but try putting this disc in with your boys on the way to a club and you'll get straight up tossed out.I'd say that the Ultra Trance and Dance series are about 10 times better. Check out Ultra Trance 4 and Ultra Dance 6 or various other DJ compilations. This one is not worth 5$.
