Mixed feelings!
I have found this book quite useful to help me link my pain to stress and emotions in my life and have been doing the exercises for a week to some effect. Having read Adams book I also took his online test which led to me receiving a number of advice video clips from him which were useful. These led to an offer of a 15 Min call from Adam which I decided not to take as I didn't feel comfortable with it. Today I received a very pushy email trying to persuade me to book a telephone call saying that he didn't do this for everyone and that he was reaching out to me personally. As the message was just from a mailing list this didn't ring true. It's such a shame because I was feeling very positive about his DPS theory and I now feel uncomfortable about the strategies used. I agree with other reviews that the book is extremely expensive, I will continue with the programme as I just want to be out of pain, so very mixed feelings as to where this book has led.

Way too long
In the spirit of acknowledging my emotions, I decided to leave my first ever amazon review. This book is a joke. While I agree with and understand the mindbody connection, journalling, talking to pain etc, this book was awfully dragged out. It could have been written in 10 pages. It repeated the same points multiple times, and sometimes it was word for word. The success stories were essentially identical with very little variation. I would not recommend this book.

Released my back pain!
This book is a great overview of how our mind & body works with regards to chronic pain. It is a quick and easy read and it had all the answers I had been looking for regarding my lower back pain. It really works in releasing chronic pain and I highly recommend it!

Verantwortungsloses Heilsversprechen
"Wie fühlen Sie sich gerade?"Are you serious?!

Too expensive!!
Why is this book so very expensive? £17.38 Kindle, £20.45 paperback (!) 220 medium font pages, including preface, forward, introduction, empty pages for notes, index, questions, how to contact the author, and information about the author to pad it out. Most of the rest of the book was anecdotal, accounts from those who claimed the system had worked for them and lots of repetition. Pages 145 - 205 actually dealt with the technique. I don't have pain. I bought this for someone who is in pain and couldn't afford to pay this much. Having read it I feel cheated, there is not enough substance to warrant the price. If the technique works and if you are really sincere about helping people alleviate pain Mr Heller, reduce the price by two thirds and make it accessible to more of those who are suffering.
