4/10/2107 updateAlthough I still question the quality/durability of this hose, I must acknowledge the quick response taken by Triver in sending me a replacement event though it appears I was just past 30 day warranty. Thank you Triver.Initial review-Like many other reviews, this hose appears much better than those as seen on TV expandable hoses. However, within 35 days upon receipt the hose is leaking badly between the strain relief and female connector at faucet end. I like the hose and hope Amazon or the seller will provide a replacement. I bought a green expandable TeleBrands 7809 Pocket Hose Ultra in February 2015. It has served me faithfully until August 2018 when it burst. I needed a second hose in August 2015, I bought a another TeleBrands 7809 Pocket Hose Ultra 50 feet, from Amazon. It proved defective so I got it replaced. It lasted until August 2016 when it burst.I replaced it with a SoLed 2016 design Best 75' Expanding Hose(Red), Strongest Expandable Garden Hose on the Planet. Solid Brass Ends, Double Latex Core, Extra Strength Fabric from Amazon. This was a great hose and was built like it would last forever. but unfortunately I accidently broke the fitting and could not fix it. I wanted to get another but it is no longer carried by Amazon so I bought a 78Seven Expandable Garden Hose Never kink, tangle, twist. Heavy duty and light weight. Design 2017... 75 foot black in April 2018.The review on that hose follows and it will be updated as time goes by. The hose I bought in 2015 was replaced by this hose: GlaykoTm 50 Feet Expandable Garden Hose - NEW 2018- Super Strong Construction- Strong Webbing -Solid Brass End - Shut-off Valve + Storage bag since I was not happy with the 78Seven Hose. We shall see how this one holds up. I guess you should not expect more than two years out of these hoses.This seems like a good hose but read on for my two star rating. I went to my orders to find this hose so I could leave some initial comments. The hose I received is NOT the hose that is shown in my orders or the current listing. I wanted to leave an initial comment that my hose did not come with a positive shutoff to help it inflate or expand. All I got was a black hose. I have purchased several expandable hoses and this was the first expandable hose I have ever purchased that did not come with a positive shut off. You need that otherwise it will not expand. I purchased this hose because my last one failed.The hose my order history shows I bought is green and when I click on it it takes me to the black one currently shown on Amazon which is not what I got. I don't care what color the hose is. I am not complaining about not getting the hose as currently shown, but I am complaining about the hose not having a positive shut off valve attached. Also something is wrong having an item shown in my order history that is not the item I received.Since it is my fault I did not notice a lack of a shut off valve, and there is currently nothing wrong with the hose, I don't feel it would be proper to return it to Amazon but I can give it gets two stars because it should have come with a positive shutoff.In reviewing my review and wanting to double check a few facts I notice that at the end of the title for the Amazon listing of this product is the word "black." That makes it confusing when a green hose was in the picture. Also in the picture are quick connectors and a adjustable nozzle. I can find no mention of those in the description. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.Update: I see the pictures and description have now been fixed.

I used it once and it split at the hose bib connection. Luckily there was no problem with the return. If they ever perfect these hoses - I'd love to have another as they are much easier to use than traditional hoses and they are hard to kink. But - the quality and durability just isn't there yet.

This is a very interesting hose. The outer material is a fabric like nylon wound in such a way that when the water goes out, the hose shrinks in size. The inner core is of course a plastic material and the fittings are a nice quality brass.The hose works great and is super lightweight. I have another one of those "magic hoses" that shrinks and this one does not go down in size as much as that one-- but it does compress. I think its a great buy for the price.One word of caution on all of these shrinking hoses. Unlike a regular hose where you can easily stretch it to your sprinkler and then turn it on, these hoses resist somewhat the stretching until the water fills up the hose itself. In other words, if you think you can simply hook up a sprinkler, walk 75 feet and then turn on the water, it wont happen. You have to readjust the sprinkler to the furthest position once the water is running and the hose stretches to its full length,

Crap, plain and simple. It started to leak from the end that attaches to the house. I could feel there was no "core" to the hose at this point. About 1/3 of the way up the hose you can feel where that core returned. I conclude there is some kind of inner tubing that detached from the end. Maybe I'll rip it apart and take a photo or 2, but I had to get this warning up now. Stay away from these collapsible hoses, I've bought several from various places - they are ALL garbage!

I was happy with it at first but it got a hole in it within 3 months. The hose was never dragged or anything. I only used it to water my plants that about 3 ft from the hose that stays wrapped around and out of the sun. Also, not sure if it's related to the hose, my plant soil was getting contaminated. I could figure out why. I moved one of the plants to my back yard utilizing a different type of hose and the plant came back to life and did great. Once this hole sprung a leak I replaced with another hose. My plants came back to life shortly after. Seems odd and I can't help but feel that there was a chemical of some sort that the hose was made out of that was hurting my plants. The darnest thing. Don't waste your money on this hose. Save your money and save your plants. Stored great though. I give it two stars for that reason and I'm being generous.
