How wide is the chain? I need to cut a round hole in steel to slide the chain through, but first I need to know how big to cut the hole. Thanks!

the chain is 3/8 square, 2 3/4 inch long by 1 1/2 inch wide

What is the thickest lock shackle that will fit through the end link?

i have abloy 362 which has 5/8 shackle it can squeeze in but noway to lock it since it won't go around the corner of the shackle, so i would say the clearance is exact 5/8, max shackle is probably 1/2 inch

Anyone know it's hardness rating?

i saw on another listing 63 rockwell
