Tomoe River paper is widely recognized as one of the best paper for fountain pen writing. It's almost feather and bleed-thru proof for most ink+nib combinations, and will exhibit the shades and sheens of your favorite inks as they were intended. This is the 68gsm version of Tomoe River, and will improve upon the 52gsm version in terms of show-thru or shadowing.

I typically use pretty wet-writing medium or broad fountain pen nibs
I bought this primarily to compare it with the lighter-weight, 52gsm Tomoe River paper that I use with fountain pens for correspondence. The thicker weight of the 68gsm in these notebooks is noticeable, both in the ease of turning pages (which is always a bit tricky with the lighter weight paper) and in the reduction of showthrough on the backside of the pages after writing. I typically use pretty wet-writing medium or broad fountain pen nibs, with highly saturated inks (Noodler's Baystate Blue, J. Herbin's Emerald of Chivor, Levenger inks) and I've never noticed any feathering or bleedthrough with Tomoe River paper. The cover is simply thicker cardstock-type paper--durable enough for the "insert style" purposes of these booklets. The only thing that would be better about these notebooks is if they came in larger sizes with more pages!

Wonderful slim notebook that can handle all kinds of fountain pens.
The only thing you need to know about Tomoe River paper is that it loves fountain pens. I purchased a few of these to insert into my A5 Travelers notebook cover and people marvel at the paper quality.
