Not exactly what I had hoped
Being the cough and cold season, I wanted/needed some chrysanthemum tea - a drink that I learned to love while in Penang, Malaysia. The dried flower tisane, available from my local Chinese herbalist, helped to soothe coughing quite effectively but it is a little pricey.Seeing this listing on Amazon for "finest quality" quality tea at a reasonable price, I ordered a can for home and at work. The listed product is (apparently) a dark, well-fermented tea that is slightly flavored with a few chrysanthemum blossoms. It has a not particularly great flavor, and is not the product that I was seeking.

fragrance like mown grass and horse manure
Before steeped the tea smells fine, pungent, flowery. Once steeped it's rather disconcerting to note tones of mown grass and horse manure! Doesn't taste too bad though...Purchased in 2019. Nice container.

Just a tiny amount of chrysanthemum and the Pu Erh is not of good quality
Once you open the jar you'll see a a couple chrysanthemum leaves laying on top and that's about the amount of chrysanthemum you get. It certainly doesn't have any taste of it at all. The Pu Erh is just so so, not even as good as the free tea you get in Chinese restaurants. I don't recommend it.

Different
I can taste a little bit of Chrysanthemum, but there is something else in it as well that I don't like it. It's not horrible, but it's not what I expected from the ones in restaurant.

pleasantly surprised
Somehow I purchased this thinking I was getting Chrysanthemum Tea. I did not. Upon opening the tin I was shocked to see all these black leaves with maybe 4 blossoms in the whole tin. I brewed the tea and hated it. I checked the label, found and searched the term "Pu Erh Tea". Hmmmmm....following someone's direction on brewing the tea...for only a short period of time or it tastes nasty (yes, it does) I was converted.... nice! And yes, you can even "re-dunk" your tea and get another cup or two...

Not much chrysanthemum to my disappointment

Great Tea
Yes, this tea has a fishy (almost ocean-like) smell and flavor. I drink a lot of diffrent loose leaf teas in Yixing, and this is a very fine tea with a great flavor. I highly recommend for an avid/intermediate tea drinker. This may taste a little strange for someone just exploring various teas--however, I love it.
