I have had this for 10 years and it still works. Straightens my hair and also creates beautiful curls. Creates a great shine as well. I use on 370.

My first hair iron about ten years ago was from FHI. I loved it and continued to use it for about five years till it dropped and broke (was still useable but the plates were a bit loose). After that I decided to try less expensive brands such as Sedu and HSI, which were pretty good as well. After dropping my last iron (completely shattered the plates), I decided to try FHI once again and couldn't be happier. Not sure why I wasted my time using other brands. Pros: - heats fast - long wire (much longer than the others) - Does not burn hair - love the floating plates - glides easily through hair - sturdy Cons: - when using it to curl my hair the barrel is not as smooth as the plates and creates some friction that tugs the hair - I don't remember this happening on the regular FHI Heat Platform (didn't either have this issue with other brands) While I'm not the happiest about the curling part, this is a straightening iron so it is exceptional for what it's designed for. Just a bit disappointed since I upgraded based on the description that the Plus is better for the curling option.

I enjoy this flat iron, it has a simple temperature control knob and heats up fairly quickly. It's ceramic plates straightens my type 4 hair well and I got the 1" size because I prefer smaller sections to flat iron. Something I want to call out is that I have sometimes changed the temperature setting accidentally due to where the knob is positioned, so keep that in mind!

Does not provide enough heat to straighten hair (normal to fine, shoulder length). Buying another brand straightener to use.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with anything FHI. Love my curling irons, sturdy and long lasting. Great buy.

Fhi flat irons do not have a long life span. I had my platform plus for 8 months and it stopped heating up. The light would come on but no heat. I have curly hair and I straighten my hair maybe 5 times a year and it stays at home. So it didn't have any wear and tear for it to quit working so soon. Otherwise I love this flat iron because it actually helps my hair. It defies humidity, adds shine and locks in moisture. I could wear my hair bone straight for two weeks without flat ironing it again. I only have to flatiron once.

This flat iron is awesome!!! The plates are smooth and they don't grab or pull out your hair. Hair looks super shiny after using, I don't have to make several passes to get it straight and it doesn't look fried or damaged. I've had it for a couple months and still no problems! Love!!!!

This flat iron is amazing. Not only did it straighten my hair quickly and smoothly, it made my hair shiner and healthier. I also use it to make little flips in my layers. Pic included.

The best hair straightener ever, it de-frizzes and smooths your hair like no other. It’s light and easy to use, I usually put my straighteners to Max heat and I leave this one at 300 degrees and it works amazing. No burnt hair smell or static - 10/10 reccomend!

Anteriormente había tenido esta marca hasta que dejó de funcionar con el tiempo y como no hay proveedor en México decidí probar otras marcas; realmente perdí mi tiempo y mi dinero. FHI es la mejor, no la vuelvo a cambiar. Gracias!

I was excited to received this product, until I used it. It snags and breaks your hair. Not smooth at all. Believe the others reviews that say this, it’s true. I do not recommend this product. I have returned it and received a refund.

Great flat iron. Gets super hot. Works on my thick curly hair with no problem!
