SICCE Syncra Silent 1.0 Multi-Purpose Pump, designed for freshwater and saltwater

Personally I am very allergic to noise. My used aquarium came with a very noise pump. Had to replace it, and choose this one. Initially, it still made a bit of noise. I guess because there was still some air inside it, or vibrating a bit against the walls of my sump. It's nice and very silent now. Quality build too. Very happy with it.

This Syncra Silent Pump lives up to its name. It’s virtually inaudible and seems to do an effective job at cycling water through my internal filters. High quality and high performance at an affordable price.

This is a great pump. It is super quiet and powerful for its size! I’m using it in a Fluval Evo13.5 tank and it’s probably over powered, The .5 would probably be better matched honestly but I like the extra power. A tip to evo owners where this pump makes noise I found the stock locline outlets restrict flow and put “back pressure” on pump creating noise. Using higher flow outlets or just taking the small stock outlets off will fix the noise and it will be nearly silent.

It’s been a year and this pump is still going strong after running almost 24/7 (turn off for feeding tank). It isn’t perfectly silent, but I like it enough I have since got 2 more. One for water changes and another for another tank I am in the process of setting up.

I received my pump earlier today and here is what I like so far. 1. Moves A lot of water compared to the stock pump that came with the Fluval 13.5 as of right now there is a slight dead spot in the tank which is underneath the return nozzles. But very minimal dead spot. 2. No modifications the stock return hose that came with the fluval is a bit longer due to the minimal height of this pump so there is a bit of slack. I did not cut it off just in case this pump failed for whatever reason and I had to switch back to the stock fluval pump. 3. The noise level is minimal. There is a slight hum... from 3 feet away but you can barely hear it. You won’t loose sleep if it’s in your bedroom. One final comment. when I installed this pump it picked up a lot of uneaten food and other goodies you may find in your sand/gravel tank cleared up within 1 hour. Fish are swimming in the current and look happier.
