Q: I have a nursing book which is about 1400 pages long, 9” x 2” x 11”. It weighs about 8 pounds. Will this stand work?

Yes, My Constitutional law textbook is 1800 pages, 2-1/2 inches thick. this stand holds it, just barely--it's a squeeze on one side of the page holders when you are starting with all 1800 pages on one side...otherwise no problems at all. I don't know what the other guy was talking about in re flimsy. It's light weight, i don't feel like it's flimsy. It's been with me for at least 5,000 pages so far.
