Fascination - The Great Hit Sounds Of.... ORIGINAL RECORDINGS REMASTERED SET

The CD arrived yesterday. The sound is awesome, crisp & clear! Jasmine label does a fantastic job. I am totally satisfied.

A great talented arranger and producer is Mr. Carroll. Music is purky and lively. With a total time of 2 hours and 35 minutes, this 2 cd set gives you plenty of music. It would be nicer however if one of the cd reissue companies would release each of Mr. Carroll's lps on cd rather then picking through recordings from several different of his lp's. Putting 2 lps on 1 cd as has been done with so many other artists is the way to do it.

David Carroll an amazing orchestra with a very deep sound,beautiful melodies and a very pleasant band, I've found in our country some lp reords and I was satisfied with the sound and the songs who's playing on my studio and I was very pleased to find something on Amazon, what a record with a beautiful sound and a great collection of songs who's played on the cd, also thanks to the seller and Amazon who's made it possible to find something about David Carroll.Quick delivery excellent service and thnak you very much from a music collector from Belgium.Special greetings from Paul

I thought this would be better as I recently bought a good l.p. by Mr. Carroll but this one was quite dated.

This set offers a lot for the money, but like most Jasmine there is a lot of filler and it sounds rather flat in mono. Hasn`t Jasmine heard of stereo? I would have prefered one or two good Carroll albums such as Show Stoppers and his movie album to this hodge podge of material.

Did not know that it was "Mono" (not Stereo) recordings of his older works. A big disappointment for sound quality.

64 tracks from one of the busiest conductors of the 50s and 60s. This is all 50s material but what a great selection. Most of David's singles of note are included: Melody of Love, It's Almost Tomorrow, The Ship That Never Sailed, Swinging Sweethearts, Have You Ever Been Lonely, Gadabout, Fancy Pants, Caribbean, In a Little Spanish Town, etc. It's great to hear these after the unavailability of most of these selections since their original release on 78 and/or 45.You'll notice a number of selections influenced by the success of Billy Vaughn's TWIN SAX sound and a number that are very reminiscent of Lawrence Welk.David has enough material in the Mercury catalog to fill many CDs but I must say the compilers of this collection did their homework. This is the best of the best.If you enjoy 50s instrumental sounds you will enjoy this great collection.When do we get a David Carroll 60s collection including his album Mexico and other great releases?
