This 'IslandMat' from MOTOMY promised a simple 2-in-1 solution, and it has completely streamlined my post-surf routine. This thing is brilliant in its simplicity and effectiveness. It starts as a flat, waterproof mat – a clean surface to stand on while you peel off your wetsuit. No more balancing on one foot trying to avoid the sandy ground! The material is thick, durable, and genuinely waterproof (that 5000X technology isn't just a number). It keeps the sand and grime off your feet and off your wetsuit. Once you're changed, the magic happens. You simply gather the edges of the mat with the wet wetsuit inside, pull the drawstrings, and it transforms into a waterproof bag. Your wet, sandy gear is contained, preventing your car (or backpack, or whatever you're using) from getting soaked and dirty. It's incredibly fast and easy, especially when you're tired and cold after a session. The size is generous enough to comfortably stand on and gather up even a bulky winter wetsuit. Works great. Keeps that back of my car a lot cleaner and dryer. I got it for my son. It's been good for keeping everything together and off the upholstery.

This mat seems thick and mostly durable. The strap arrived broken though. It slips right out and the whole thing falls to the ground. It still has the side handles which will have to work. Other than that though, really helpful in keeping my feet/gear clean when changing and keeping my wet gear from making a mess in the trunk.

Bought for my boyfriend who does ocean swims at least weekly. Easily changed after swim and pulls closed keeping all the sand and sandy items inside (and not getting car wet either with it pulling into a dry fit bag) then brings to front yard to rinse everything off. Has kept car much cleaner from sand being g everywhere. He says it is easy to use and very helpful. See most people at the beach using this or a similar product.

I’ve been using this same mat for a couple years. It has stood up to some serious torture and shows barely any signs of wear. I especially like that you can cinch up your wetsuit and towel into a much smaller size.
