Is this permanent hair removal?

Yes it is, however you may need to do it several times depending on your hair. The kit is for home use, therefore it is not as powerful as professional machines. Please read the manual carefully to get the best results. Proper treatment will yield the best results.

Do I need to purchase the Stylet tips separately, or does the kit come with one and it is only necessary to purchase replacements? Thanks!!

It comes with one already attached and a spare/replacement tip.

Does the needle release any ink or solution into the skin? Or is it just electrocuting it?

It does not release ink or solution into the skin. The galvanic electrolysis process does produce a small amount of white fluid which often comes out of the pores while you use this product. However, that fluid is produced by your body as a reaction to the electrolysis -- the product doesn't inject anything into your skin (besides electricity).

How do you get the needle into the hair follicle?

The follicle is at the base of the hair. You will need to be close to a mirror for best viewing. Place your needle at the base of the hair and it will slide into the follicle. If there is resistance, readjust and try again. Start on thicker hairs to get the hang of it. Finer hairs are more challenging.
