Great long Term Journal- good alternative to Hobonichi
I absolutely love this notebook! I was considering getting a Hobonichi Cousin but wasn’t ready to commit to daily entries just yet. When I found the Stalogy, it turned out to be the perfect alternative at a great price. There is some ghosting with ink, but no bleed-through. (I also write a little heavy handed) In person, the ghosting isn’t as noticeable. The paper texture is lovely, slightly thicker than Bible pages, and ink flows smoothly across it. The A5 size is perfect, especially since I plan to use it as my daily journal and carry it with me. It feels just like carrying a book. Overall, if you’re on a budget or just not ready to commit to a Hobonichi, this is a fantastic alternative!

The journal/planner I have been searchig for!!!
These notebooks have a minimal design. The paper is great fo almost anything such as gel pen, fountain pen and is bleed resistant. Months, days and numbered dates are printed on the top of each page but I just write in the date on each page anyway. It can be easily used as both a notebook for writing, sketching and note-taking and as a planner for recording appointments and to-do's. My most favourite thing about it is that I don't end up with blank pages if I miss a day, which is what happens with dated planners. I have both the A5 and A6, using the A6 for recording memory of day to day events and the A5 for specific uses where I need more space to write.

One of my favorite brands
Stalogy notebook has great smooth paper that makes writing effortless. There’s no bleed-through at all, even with fine fountain pens a little ghosting but not where it’s an issue to write on the next page. Plus, it lays flat, making it super convenient to use.

Hobonichi Substitute
I opted for this notebook due to its similarities with the Hobonichi planner. As others mentioned, this remains a more budget-friendly version of Hobonichi. I intend to use it as a future planner. The cover is a type of thick paper so I'd definitely recommend some sort of cover or protection. The papers are incredibly thin - so thin that I can view the print from the other pages. I'm curious to see how writing in it will appear. Once I write and start to use it, I'll update it with some pictures if possible. The grid on the pages appear really great and useful. The top of the pages also has the months printed which is a nice touch. The gray color choice is really nice to the off-white paper of the notebook. I am slightly bummed out at it not laying entirely flat. It might be a matter of having to wear down the spine over time to achieve those results. If you primarily want a notebook that lays flat, I'd recommend the Midori notebook. There's even a combo on Amazon right now where you can receive the Midori notebook and a clear cover. The Midori A5 clear cover fits this notebook. The only visible difference is that since the Stalogy has rounded corners, there's some empty space in the clear cover. Other than that, I expected the notebook to be a tad thicker but I'm still overall pleased! (☉ਊ☉)ᕗ

My favorite journal so far
I’ve been an avid journaler for years but Stalogy has only recently entered my rotation of journals. So far, it’s been my favorite option. The paper is much thinner than what I was used to in Midori or Leuchtturm journals, and is perhaps most comparable to the Hobonichi paper thickness. I haven’t experienced bleeding with my 0.38mm Muji gel pens, but there is ghosting. Personally, the ghosting is not distracting. It actually contributes to a more “lived in feeling” that helps me get over my perfectionist tendencies. Plus, the ghosting enables you to track the entry dates more easily, if you choose to use the header.

very nice
really love this journal. i wish the paper was a tad bit thicker and the grid a tiny bit bigger but for what it is - it is still great.

Consider me converted
I resisted this notebook in the A5 size for too long. A week ago I would have said my perfect A5 journal would be hardcover, with numbered pages, grid or dotted lines, ribbon markers, and lay-flat binding, with paper quality that absorbs inks of all kinds and colored pencils. I’ve tried probably ten journal varieties that meet these demands, and at the end of the day they’re often heavy, plagued by binding issues and cover creases, with paper quality that just plain sucks. Stalogy’s paper is comparable to Tomoe River paper, but it’s brighter, and doesn’t have the gloss and excess weight that often muddies colored pencils. The grid is easy to see, and every other line has an additional marker if you’re doing something precise that requires counting squares. It lays perfectly flat, but you can also bend it back if you prefer to write on one page at a time or use the book itself as support. I’ve tested it with Stabilo fine points, Sakura Micron, Pilot Varsity Disposable Fountain Pens, Prismacolor Premiers — all perfect, all free of next-page ghosts. I love this notebook, and want to hug this to my chest like a woobie. The price means I’ll definitely buy it again and again, so my journal search is finally over.

If you like the idea of your year all in one place, this is your planner/journal.
I love the quality feel. The paper is very smooth and so far has handled all but alcohol based inks, in terms of ghosting. There is some ghosting just due to the thinness of the paper, but I'm a fan. The grid and other markings are very, very light. If you rely on these and you're older, like I am, you'll need good light and maybe even "cheaters" to see the printed marks. I keep mine in a TN/folio. I *may* have found my planner peace!

Great product. Can handle most pen types with exception of fountain pen. Paper is too thin for heavy ink. Has a great feel and is very well made. I've bought different colours and will likely be buying more. They fit in all kinds of holders and are very convenient. The graph lines are light (which does make it difficult to use in low lighting - if you care about "staying in the lines"!), but I like that they don't glare at me when I'm writing - subtle enough to disappear while still giving me a frame to work within. Pages are securely bound. I do believe the price could be lower - does seem high.

Also immer ein Kauf wert 💘

La estoy utilizando para mi diario de 5 años. Me encanta la calidad del papel. Entiendo tanto hype por estos cuadernos. Si la vuelvo a encontrar de oferta, seguro que la vuelvo a comprar
