I purchased this recovery rope to have something to pull vehicles out at the beach near where I live. I’d previously used a 3 inch yellow strap, but when I need to tug on a vehicle to get it out of a hole, it puts quite a bit of jolt on my truck. This recovery rope eliminates that shock load and is probably safer than using a strap if you have to jerk a vehicle out of a holeI would agree that the bag comes in is a little flimsy, I wish they would spend another dollar or two making the bag more robust. But the quality of the rope is great and I expect it will last a long time. I was able to test it out and it did the job.

Unfortunately, I was only able to use my recovery rope once before it was shredded. That being said; the rope is very nicely made and it performed amazingly for towing a dead truck back home. The individual I was helping accidentally ran over the rope twice, but it is definitely harder than it seems to explain to someone how to avoid doing so. I was able to tow his truck up a couple steep (paved) hills with no problem and we eventually got the truck back to his house about 2 1/2 miles from where he was stopped. The rope was ruined after this, I have included photos of the aftermath. I highly recommend this product to someone who may be thinking about looking elsewhere. Of course I did not manage to exceed the ropes weight rating by any stretch of the imagination, so I could totally see it performing excellent under way more strain. I recommend for someone looking for a good quality, affordable recovery rope to add to their recovery kit.

I used it quite a few times for smaller vehicles and it worked perfect. I however used it not too long ago for a stuck bus and it apparently has no stretch left. It felt like I hit a wall and had zero give. I loved mine up to that point other than the crappy bag it came in, but I wish it had a lifetime warranty or even a year or two

Keep it in my rzr and used it a few times and works awesome. Also pulled out tree stumps.

I just received this recovery rope. The quality seems top notch! I’m actually pretty impressed. This thing seems super sturdy. I feel like I can recover a buried tank with this. In all seriousness, I’m very happy with the purchase so far. Of course the real test will be when I put this to the test. I purchased this kinetic recovery rope because I live in the Outer Banks, NC. We offer get tourists that think they can drive their AWD Hondas on the beach. That might work in FL or somewhere where the sand is compacted but the sand here is super soft and requires trucks with 4WD. This rope will be used to help stuck knuckleheads that I feel are worthy of my help. I’ll post an update when I use it but I’d say if your looking at this particular one, go ahead and pull the trigger. It’s made very well. To put it into perspective, I also bought some cheap soft shackles, the quality between those and this rope are like night and day. I’ll probably return the cheap soft shackles and shell out more money to get something to match the quality.

Have had this item for about a year. Needed it three times, twice for a tractor, once for a car. We’d buy it again.
