As a newbie tomato plant grower, I was using plastic horse shoe shaped clips to secure the stems to support canes. These clips were scraping the plant and not ideal. As I have dexterity problems, string or twine was not a good option for me. So I did my research and came across these Velcro Plant Ties. OMG these are a game changer for me - what a wonderful product! Easy to use, simply detach the tie from the roll at the perforated line (TIP: this is hard to see, look for the pale white line on the lighter green side), and wrap loosely around the stem and cane. Can be cut down to size if snaller length required. Holds very well and can easily be adjusted by unsticking the Velcro and resizing. Velcro is soft, not scratchy and no damage to my plants. I have 9 plants all secured in more than one place and still have over half a roll left. What is also good, these can be washed and reusec!! The green colour blends in and is not noticeable or distracting from the aesthetic appearance. Practical, functions well and reusable, easy to use and ideal. Wish I had found these Velcro Plant Ties before as I am using them for other plants in my garden now too even those with more woody stems. A little more pricey than standard clips but so worth the extra money in my opinion. Highly recommended!
