BugClear 2 x Ultra Vine Weevil Killer 480ml

Brilliant stuff! I use this twice a yr for killing the evil weevil grubs. Once at beginning of growing season (march) for pots with Hostas & bulbs and again in September, after the majority of my flowering pots have finished flowering and the weevil beetle usually lays fresh eggs! I'm very mindful however, that this stuff will kill bees, hence why I only ever use it well BEFORE flowering and then AFTER flowering season. I never use it in the open ground , only in my pots!! I also NEVER use it as a spray, only as a soil soak!

Small garden, lots of big pots. Use this every year, It's expensive and takes several bottles to do everything, and it takes time to do all, but it's well worth the effort. It's a horrible site when a big beautiful shrub keels over because its' roots have been attacked by vine weevil grubs. This stuff works!I use it as recommended in the spring. usually after a vine weevil has announced its' presence by crawling in through the kitchen window. (They're either taking the mickey or just not very bright)Don't believe the "experts " who say the grubs are only in the top six inches of soil. I've found them more than two foot down into the soil even to the bottom of a large container. Perhaps they were trying to escape.

I have battled with vine weevil for over twenty years and tried every product under the sun. This is the only one I have found to help combat the problem. It is impossible to eradicate them but this goes a long way in controlling them.

This worked really well but very expensive you have to use loads in one watering can.But...did work so you might only have to do your pots once a year.Better than losing all your plants to these grubs.

The item arrived promptly. As the dose required is quite high, I needed to eke it out to give my pots just one treatment from the bottle, so its quite expensive. However I've had a lot of damage this year and some expensive losses, so its worth it to get on top of the pesky vine weevil.

Unfortunately we had vine weevils in a number of our potted Heuchera's, after a few treatments of BugClear the problem was solved. Well worth the money.
