It's it's own thing and that's fine
As a live radio production of Good Omens, I loved it. I loved the familiar voices and the easter egg with Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, and how they modernized bits of it. As an adaptation, I miss the footnotes and the extra characters - so I would recommend getting the other version if you love those bits too. This is a good introduction to Good Omens, but I will always prefer the book and the full unabridged recording of it.

An Amazing Radio Dramatization!
As with the Neverwhere Dramatization the previous year, this was an amazing radio play performed by incredible actors. The book itself is one that I've read more than once. I've enjoyed the audio book version as well. So a radio dramatization is an added treat: various voices bringing characters to life, scenes made real with fantastic music and sound effects, and well-plotted scenes for this adaptation. Even if a Good Omens movie or TV mini-series never comes about, I'll be OK - I'm more than satisfied with this lovable adaptation of one of my favorite books. For those of you who are curious about this radio drama and have not read the original book: you will still be able to follow along and enjoy the outrageous story, so there's little need to worry. This was a top-notch radio production and features some amazing actors (including a brief, funny cameo by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett!).

Probably enjoyable only for fans of the novel
I absolutely adore Good Omens, and Terry Pratchett books in general. I have read this novel many times, so I knew what was going on during the radio drama, but I think probably anyone who does not know the novel *intimately* might feel lost. I do love the casting choice for Death. I have listened to a couple of Terry Pratchett's books on audible, and that narrator's take on Death is awful. This drama obviously has to cut a lot from the novel to fit its short run time, which is unfortunate but understandable.

Pure genius!
I acquired the Audible BBC Radio 4 dramatization and it is absolutely hilarious, it's genius. The voices are perfect for all the characters, all the voice actor did a wonderful job portraying and transmitting the emotion of their dialogs, the story is fun, amusing and engaging, made me want to buy the book. I am looking forward to the BBC mini series. 10/10 would definitely recommend to everyone I know.

The end of the world has never been funnier
While a little bit of the books magic does get lost in translation to audio play form, this is a hilarious and entertaining adventure. The acting is top notch with a top shelf voice caste. The best possible thing for a long car trip when music simply isn't enough to keep your mind busy.

This is my husband's favorite book of all time
This is my husband's favorite book of all time. He'd been searching for the BBC adaptation for some time. Of course Amazon would have it.Excellent audio quality, sound effects and dramatization! If you liked the BBC presentation of Hitchiker's Guide, you'll love this.

Great story, great impersonations
I've red the book, but haven't finished it. Now listening to it, it seems i'm having a better experience. The full cast of different players makes the experience far superior than another great book i've listened, Heart of Darkness, even though it was read by Kenneth Branagh! I strongly recommend for those who listened to books with just one reader to see the difference. And to everyone else for the story.

The nice and accurate review of Niall
Good Omens, the book, is one of my favourites, what would happen if the son of satan had a proper British upbringing & and not a privelaged American childhood. The book happily gets an outing every couple of years.Good Omens, the radio dramatisation, also happens to be rather excellent. The production boasts a sharp script, and an amazing cast (particularly the two police officers in eps.1). I listened when it first aired on radio 4, and waited patiently for the cd to be released, the cd contains extra/extended scenes and the obligatory out takes.Well worth a listen.

Brilliant! listened to this on a few recent long journeys. Have loved the book for years, and the cast of this is just fantastic! Made me realise I've been pronouncing Crowley wrong all these years though, ha! Our 6 year old even enjoyed it (although we had to cough a bit over the more fruity bits). If you were looking for an introduction to either author, this would be a great start, they did it justice.

Very nice and accurate version....
This is one of my favourite books and love the original audio book of it. I was very excited when the BBC annouced the radio play for Christmas 2014. It is was an excellent production, but I found that it missed certain story elements and some of the humour was lost. But this CD release brings alot of that back with almost an extra hour extra than the broadcast. I still think you need to read the book to really get the little snippets of life observations that Neil and Terry bring to their story telling. But you would not be dissappointed with ordering this.

Same Cast For TV Adaptation Please!
This radio play is near perfection. I faithfully adapts the book into a radioplay that does not disappoint. Peter Serafinowicz & Mark Heap are the perfect choice of the Demon-Angel duo leading the fight to stop the end of the world. With a very believeable Newton Pulsifer from Colin Morgan and Charlotte Richie being pitch perfect for Anathema Device, Madame Tracey & Shadwell are portrayed fantastically by Julia Deakin & Clive Russell, this cast is perfect. The others in the cast are excellent portraying their characters, and all I can say is keep the cast when doing an adaption for TV!
