As a thinner guy, 5' 11" and weighing 175 pounds, I tried their recommended measurement around my belly button, which was 38 inches. I got the 38 and it was too big. Then got a 36. Still a bit large. But 34 fit perfectly.Very comfortable, looks like wool, but is much softer. Two nice pockets on the sides can fit a large phone. Stitching was very well done, not a thread out of place.

I purchased the Scottish Pride Kilt. I received my kilt. Tried it on and it fit well. I wanted a men's kilt because it hangs longer than women's kilts. After some life events and surgeries ya really don't want to see my legs. LOL.The sizing is very confusing. I ordered a size smaller than they recommended and it fits perfect. The recommended size I knew was going to be too big.I am very confused about the 3rd back pocket everyone is commenting about. Maybe in older versions or in other sizes they have a rear pocket? Mine has just a flap. Upon reading the description it states two (2) pockets. Not 3.Be sure to read the "fine print" before ordering to confirm you are getting what you expect.Other than that...The stitching is beautiful for the most part. The pockets on the inside I had several strings etc. Under the flap were bits of fabric where it was a messy cut. See pictures.The only other thing I would have liked were cleaning instructions. There is no inside tag, no paper shoved in the bag. Nothing.Past experience recommends dry cleaning home or at a business (I use home dry cleaning. Woolite makes an AWESOME home dry cleaning kit for delicates..you can order it right here on Amazone! Shamless plug.) or hand wash and hang.DO NOT WASH AND THEN USE THE DRYER unless you are planning to lose a bunch of weight really really fast!Despite all the gripes about the kilt I love the colors and the fit! It is a light weight and can easily be worn for long periods of time unlike traditional wool authentic kilts.The buttons secure nicely! They are good and sturdy. The double set of male receivers is great for adding or taking away a little space! See pictures.If you are wanting authentic then you will not like this kilt. So the sizing chart is wrong.Order 2 sizes above.This is my second order. First was a 32 my actual waist size. Didn't fit. Returned.Ordered size 36 and it fits well.Moral of the story order 2 sizes up from actual.

I go to the rein fair ALOT. Ever since I got this kilt people love it. Amazong color, great plets, love the pockets, very well made. Very breathable and nice to wear.

Feels like wool even though it is acrylic. Pockets are large and easily accessible. Belt loops wide enough to use a kilt belt. Packing was poor, came in a thin clear bag with a label slapped on it. Some damage to the bag but the kilt was ok. Almost seems too nice to be a utility kilt, but that's how I'll use it. Putzing in the garage and wearing around the house. They only had two left in my size and they dropped it to $33 as opposed to regular $60 so I got a good deal.

Fits well. Smells really bad. Like an oily smell. And there are no cleaning instructions so I don’t know how to get rid of it. Fit and look are good. Just need the smell gone.Update: less than an hour after I posted a review and question about how to get rid of the smell I received a n answer for a “verified purchaser in the United States,”. My question and answer:You asked:"It smells bad and there are no care instructions. How do I clean it without it shrinking?"They answered:"take the sunshine heat place this Kilt for 2 hours. thanks"If that person is in the US they struggle with English and did not answer my question. Also, I am in Michigan. Not much sunshine right now if that is actually what they meant.Guess I will take my chances with hand wash. Didn’t think it wa too much to ask for $75 for a piece of cloth not to smell like an oil refinery.
